I prefer to use individually-wrapped Tantowels for my self-tanning because they are easy to apply and I like the consistent results. Since the towelettes are individually wrapped and pre-saturated, they are very compact, neat, and portable. The Tantowel self-tanning formula is quick to dry and lets me achieve a natural looking tan without the unpleasant smell or mess of some of the self-tanning liquids, lotions, or sprays that can be sticky and can take a long time to dry in comparison. I have very pale, sensitive skin that burns very quickly when exposed to the sun and have used the original formula Tantowels on my face and body for my self-tanning for the past two years with no problems. To get the most from one Tantowel towelette, start applying the towelette in even strokes to your skin while the towelette is still folded up. Gradually unfold it as the outside layers of the towelette start to dry out. I also recommend that you self-tan your body first and then your face. If your knees, elbows, and feet are not smooth and soft, you may want to gently exfoliate them first. Like most self-tanners, this product doesn't have a SPF rating so be sure to use a sun protection product on your skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure.

After reading the good reviews of the Tantowels, I was excited to use it. I used one towellette - then another 3 hours later.

First the smell - when you're applying the towelette the smell is very pleasant - basically like a normal wet-wipe. But hours later that typical artificial tan "chemical smell" appeared, and stayed there.

The color is very natural looking. I really like the color.

My biggest problem - streaks. I really tried to apply evenly, which I thought would be easy with the towelette. But now I have a white streak down the side of one arm, and some patchy white spots on the other arm. Also whichever part you start with, will be darker since you get less tan as the towel dries.

After this fades I will try again . . . but I won't be buying another pack of Tantowels.

These towelettes are AWESOME--give a flawless (and I mean flawless) deep tan without the mess. Better still, it doesn't clog your pores like lotions & mousses. You'll never go back to anything else after using these.

This product is the most natural of the products I have used. The other products either turn you orange or don't work or leave uneven zebra lines. I have been EXTREMELY pleased with the end result! I am pale and even I have a tan now!

This is the best sunless tanning product I have used. It does say streakless, but it is stll possible to get some streaking. Just be sure you rub it in good and wash your hands. It does not turn your skin orange and (for the most part) does not streak. I would definately use again!

I saw these advertised on QVC and was curious enough to give them a try. WOW... I was very surprsed with the results and the ease of use. It only takes about a minute to apply to your whole body and it really does dry instantly. I will warn you though that it will take 2 to 3 towelettes to cover your body. I have fair skin and it took 3 applications to get the color that I was looking for. I originally bought a box of 10 towelettes and used 8 of them to get a nice looking tan. But after that, it just takes 2 towelettes every 5 to 7 days to keep the tan. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants an nice golden tan. If you are looking for a ultra dark tan, then this is not the product for you.

If you are aiming to get a healthy glow out of your tanning product, then this is the product for you. It is so easy to apply, goes on odorless, and dries instantly. The best part is that you can get dressed right away, without staining your clothes. I recommend Tantowel Plus which gives you slightly more color, and the Evolution Plus (full body size towelette) is even better.

This is the best all around self tanner I have ever used, and, frankly, I've tried more than I care to mention. It has provided my fair skin with a fantastic glow throughout the summer. The towls are excellent for an even application, no streaking or discolorations (my two cents on streaks - it's called "user application error" 99% of the time!). Unfold the towl slowly while applying to ensure optimal use of the product over larger areas. Does not cause my skin to break out like some of the heavier lotion type tanners, particularly as I use regularly on my face. I noticed no sustained odor, or issue with staining clothing. I highly recommend.

Ok, so i was so excited to finally get my tan towels, but due to either my mismanagement or something, i have streaks-- especially on the first leg i started on. My left foot also came out very stained looking...i guess i need to perfect this method. I did like the color in the morning, but a warning to you: it SMELLS. it really really does.

I am going to try again tonight, but at this point unsure if i'll buy again.

Worked well enough that the least I could do was post a positive review. No streaking, no annoying odor, went on evenly (no streaking whatsoever, despite claims to the contrary), and the best part - no staining on clothing or bedsheets! Just to try it out, I did one arm and one leg... was so happy with the results that the next day I did the other arm and leg, figuring it would take a couple tries to get both arms/legs the same color... but it developed into a perfect match.
