About the Actor

Richard and Diana Daffner, the creators of Tantra Tai Chi, are also certified instructors of T'ai Chi Chih, a style of moving meditation. Diana holds a black belt in Aikido and is featured in the book Women in Aikido. She is a Reiki Teacher and has led massage, energy awareness and stress management workshops at Esalen Institute and other major holistic centers since 1972. Richard has an eclectic background in transformational arts and has traveled extensively in India and Southeast Asia. Since 1991, Richard and Diana have guided couples to experience and embody the love that is in their hearts. The Daffners offer workshops, classes and seminars and private coaching in the art of sacred intimacy.

The Daffners also produced the CD "Lessons in Intimacy...The Lover’s Touch," an audio program for couples to follow in the privacy of their bedroom. This CD takes couples on a guided experience of sacred intimacy and can transform a relationship into a love affair! When I tried Tai Chi in the past, it was a solitary, inner-oriented practice. To do it with my wife changes that - but in a good way! There is still the inner, meditative orientation, and then we make a loving heart connection with each other. It brings us closer together, in a happy state of mind (and body!) The focus on sexual energy is the key thing. If you want to share a spiritual sense of yourself with your spouse, get this video and start moving energy together!

We found it a little difficult to follow some of the movements - more instruction would be useful - but we are having fun doing them anyway. We took a tai chi class once before but never stayed with it. We don't dance much, so this program gives us a way to get our bodies in synch with each other. We especially like the emphasis on eye contact!

Tantra Tai Chi leads to a heartfelt exchange of energy between partners and naturally channels sexual energy upward, via the heart, to the higher centers. One of its goals is to encourage the discipline that helps lovers circulate energy during lovemaking...rather than simply rushing toward climax. This tape is highly recommended for those using the system of lovemaking recommended in "Peace Between the Sheets."
