Book Description

November 1994
Tantric Transformation beautifully details Tantra, defining it as a 'map of inner consciousness'. In these exciting and ground-breaking discourses, the world-renowned Osho explains Tantric goals: the experience of cosmic expansion and divine wisdom. He describes the Tantra map of inner consciousness, including the 'Four Seals' or locks that open as we move higher in meditation. Speaking with profound wisdom and compassion, Osho demonstrates his genuine understanding of the fabric of our lives on earth, acknowledging both the glorious excess of our Western ways, as well as the doubt, despair, and guilt that are the legacy of our dualism.

Through light, but thought-provoking anecdotes and lectures, Osho encourages each of us to turn inwards, develop as individuals, and discover the transformative Tantric language of love.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Osho is certainly a religious man, an intelligent human, and one of those rare humans expressing himself with joy." -- Paul Reps, Zen Flesh, Zen Bones

About his own work Osho has said that he is helping to create the conditions for the birth of a new kind of human being. He has often characterized this new human being as "Zorba the Buddha" -- capable both of enjoying the earthy pleasures of a Zorba the Greek and the silent serenity of a Gautam Buddha.

Running like a thread through all aspects of Osho's work is a vision that encompasses both the timeless wisdom of the East and the highest potential of Western science and technology.

Osho has been described by the Sunday Times in London as one of the "1000 Makers of the 20th Century" and by American author Tom Robbins as "the most dangerous man since Jesus Christ."

5.0 out of 5 stars SYNOPSIS, December 8, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Tantric Transformation: Discourses on the Royal Song of Saraha (Paperback)
In this second volume of discourses on Saraha's Royal Song, given by a contemporary Tantric master, Osho, we are given a detailed map of Tantra: inner man, inner woman; the meeting of man and woman; the transformation of energy through sex and other techniques. Osho says, "Tantra is freedom: freedom from all mind-constructs, from all mind games; freedom from all structures, freedom from the other. Tantra is space to be. Tantra is liberation." Tantric transformation is a very alive, concrete book for exploration of our own energy, of our own inner space.

"You don't just read Osho, you undefine yourself."

"With Osho as a guide Tantra can give you a new perspective, a new way of looking at yourself and at life, a new way of living in harmony with existence...for Tantra is not an intellectual proposal, it is pure experience."
