tanya tucker's first greatest hits
on October 24, 2013
This is Tanya Tucker's greatest hits on Columbia Records where she got her start. She only recorded four albums for them. Three original albums for them are where these songs come from. Then a fourth album of unreleased songs that they released later. This has her first hits Delta Dawn, Blood Red And Goin' Down and The Jamestown Ferry. It is still amazing to me that she was 13 years old when she recorded them. And her voice was so mature. It also has What's Your Mama's Name, Would You Lay With Me, and The Man That Turned My Mama On. The other songs I Believe The South Is Gonna Rise Again off the Would You Lay With Me album. Love's The Answer off Delta Dawn, Rainy Girl off What's Your Mama's name and No Man's Land off of Would You Lay With Me weren't really hits. I think they put Rainy Girl on there because she wrote it. And No Man's Land is a good song about a nurse who every guy wants to be treated by. Tanya Tucker's star shined for a lot of years. I think she's had a Hall Of Fame career. And these are the songs that got her started.
