The ORIGINAL RECORDINGS here are between 1986 and 1994., May 11, 2010

This is a wonderful four disc set, that is 3 hours and 15 minutes in lenght.
The first ten tracks on dics one were re-recorded in 1990 for the "Greatest hits Encore" c.d.,
and although they are excelent, you may like to know they are not the original recordings.
Tanya re-recorded them in 1990 for purpose of ownership.
Those ten songs are what is offered here to represent the hits from 1972 to 1986. The original recordings on this box set starts in 1986 an go to 1994.
Here also are many album cuts and eight previously unreleased tracks from that same pocket of time.
This is a very worthwhile set to own, it is total listening pleasure.
Here are 23 top ten hits that are original recordings between 1986 and 1994.
The 5 1/2 x 11 1/2 inch booklet is 46 pages of extensive information,
the likes of which would be unlikely to be found anywhere else.
Here is over 50 pictures of Tanya with other celebrities, her family, her sister LaCosta,
her children, and of course in concert. This is an excelent set to own.
(LaCosta is also a country singer and although she was not as sucessful as Tanya,
she had 14 songs chart from 1974 to 1982). This box set is shown twice in Amazons listing.
There is additional detailed comments about this box set at that listing under magormusiclover. NOTE: The most perfect set of Tanya's 'hit' music to date seems to be "The UPPEER 48 hits 1972- 1997".
That is an impressive compilation!

Tanya Tucker Box Set, July 1, 2009

I grew up listening to Tanya Tucker--I was 10 when she had her first hit, "Delta Dawn." She is an awesome performer. I love her distinctive voice and the fact that we are both life-long Texans (even though I have to move around because of the military). This is an outstanding collection. I'm not sure if is still being produced; if it isn't, I would recommend that any Tanya Tucker fan purchase a used product before it is impossible to find one.
