Children's book (age 9-12) containing illustrated chapters on the countryside and history- ancient times, arrival of the Arabs, then the Portugese and the slave trade. David Livingstone, colonialism then independence and a look at the 'new society'. The book then looks at the different ethnic groups, the economy, cities and game reserves. Pretty comprehensive
