5.0 out of 5 stars Quick results
This is a must-have instruction video for all beginners. After doing the drills, I corrected my slice the first day! It's so simple to apply what is taught in the video. I've only been to the driving range 4 times in my life, but I can now hit 200+ yards straight with my irons. The instructions are easy to understand and the results will make you a believer. Don't...

1.0 out of 5 stars Most Annoying Golf Video
This video is unwatchable. I bought this video because of all the positive reviews. If you want to hear an annoying Boston accent mixed with karate mixed with golf then go ahead and waste your money. If you want to spend your money wisely then just go get a lesson. A lesson from a pro will be more effective and efficient then some video comparing golf to karate.

Don't pay for expensive lessons until you try this Eastern philosophy first! Don't waste your time listening to a golf pro telling you a million things you're doing wrong. Start trusting your own abilities and doing it correctly as explained by Mark Anthony!

5.0 out of 5 stars tao of golf is awsome, February 5, 2000

This review is from: Tao of Golf (Golf Instructional Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
tao of golf is flat-out the best golf instructional video course I have ever tried. I have been playing golf for five years and I couldn't hit the ball straight to save my life. I watch the tao of golf twice and my game went from 125 down to 97 strokes. I couldn't believe it. I can't reccommend this video and book enough. It really works. Thank you sensei Mark for making golf enjoyable.

This review is from: Tao of Golf (Golf Instructional Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Tao Of Golf is an excellent 51 minute, full color, live action instructional video for one the most unique and effective golf swing training systems available for aspiring players today. Mark Anthony utilizes time-honored Chinese philosophical teaching principles to train a golfer how to have a proper golf swing based on three simple-to-master movements. Tao Of Golf will increase power while achieving pinpoint accuracy and will work for anyone, any age, whether a weekend duffer or an aspiring professional tournament player.

If you watch this video and do not practice the techniques, you have missed a great opportunity to improve your game. The video does not break the swing down or give swing positions to hit. Those things are offered every day on the Golf Channel and can completely screw up a good swing. This video shows you how to groove a good smooth swing and eliminate mental interference. I've finally been able to take my range swing onto the course.

This is the best golf video that I have ever scene. It provides you with a number of exercises that WILL easily and automatically improve your golf swing. I HIGHLY reccomend it! The person that reviewed this and called it a waste of money is probably a hopeless golfer and might want to consider taking up bowling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Did just what claimed to do for me!, September 21, 2001
By
This review is from: Tao of Golf (Golf Instructional Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
You know, the thing with most golf instructional videos, and even gadgets that claim to improve your game is that they can be too complicated to use. Too much to remember once you're out on the course. I don't want to have to remember a million things, I want to enjoy myself. Tao of Golf is NOT a product that makes you remember a million different things. It has been an effective tool for me in improving my game.

Granted, I'm not a low 80s glofer looking to hit par, I will be happy when I hit the low 80s! The insightful approach and "ease of use" (hey, I'm a computer guy) make the lessons on this tape easy to execute with every swing.

I have watched counltess hours of the Golf channel, bought enough magazines to wallpaper my home, and tried various products to improve my drives. This tape is the one I value most, because I have seen the results. It took me from 110~120s to high 80s in about a month. Too bad it can't help me with my short game! It DID help me straighten out my drives and long irons. For the price, I'm really pleased, and highly recommend it.

Like I said above, if you're expecting to be a scratch golfer after a week, nothing will help you. But if you would like to be able to hit the ball straight so you don't have to dig around in the woods while your friends wait on the fairway, this is a great investment.

4.0 out of 5 stars great teaching method, October 10, 2001
By
This review is from: Tao of Golf (Golf Instructional Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I enjoyed the way Mark teaches, he speaks in clear golf thoughts. It is not a mechanical way to swing the golf club, but a more relaxed tension free method. He taught me the importance of being relaxed throughout the swing. His drills are easy to do and understand and very effective. He has been accessible through email for questions and very quick to respond.I think his way can help any level golfer to hit the ball better.

5.0 out of 5 stars 50 strokes in one season!, February 4, 2000
This review is from: Tao of Golf (Golf Instructional Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is no joke! I took 50 strokes off my game in one season! I was a 120's-130's golfer and in one season with Tao of Golf I broke 80! I now consistantly shoot in the 70's and only play a few rounds a year! Tao of Golf taught me the rules of the swing instantly and my banana slice was gone OVER NIGHT! On day one, I turned a chronic banana ball into a nice draw and added 50 yards to my driver! If you can't hit the ball straight, try this video! You can't afford not to! I haven't had to buy golf balls for two years! I don't lose them any more! Give this video a try! Sensei Mark Anthony knows his golf swing. It was the best $30 I ever spent!

The concepts are simple and easy to learn. After watching it, I actually fixed my slice! For a beginner, the instructions were very helpful. You still have to practice to get it right, but it's easier than I ever expected. Before paying for any lessons, try this video first. I don't think I need to take any lessons as long as I practice the instructions correctly! This will get you hitting the first day...a must-have video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my game - pure and simple, May 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Tao of Golf (Golf Instructional Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I can't praise this video enough. It's so simple - really! It takes all the instruction out of the equation and lets you swing freely, for the first time. Easy to do exercises will get you immediately on the right track. I also love this eastern philosophy perspective on things.

If you want an effortless swing - this is something for you. It worked for me - it will for you - if you do these exercises.
