Just wonderfully relaxing!,

I own a number of Dean Evenson CDs, and this one is one of my favorites along with Tao of Healing. I have a hard time finding the right words to describe the music other than "perfectly woven". Everything just seems to fit right into place and is wonderfully balanced. I've always loved Oriental music, as long as it's done right - and this really is done so well. My favorite track is Slow Samba. The rhythm makes it both relaxing and uplifting at the same time. It has always brought me a deep sense of peace.Call this corny... but I recently moved into a new home and it was very important to me to 'set the right energy' for my house. I rely heavily on music to do that, so the first songs I played in the new home were really important to me. I chose Slow Samba as the second song I played (the first was "Morning Has Broken" by Cat Stevens because it reminded me of my Grandma and the peace she brought my life.) I remember looking out over the hills and watching the sun set as Slow Samba played. Very peaceful and relaxing! I would definitely recommend this CD along with Tao of Healing.

I use this CD a lot for meditation or yoga practice. The music has a very peaceful feel to it and I like the use of traditional Chinese instruments. There is an East meets West feel here that is very appealing. My husband likes it for a background when he does tai chi.Dean Evenson has many fine CDs on the market, but this is probably my favorite.

A perfect companion to Tao of Healing,

I also own Tao of Peace, another album by the same artists, and this one takes off where the other left off. The same beautiful flute and Guqin blend to create a soothing, and exotic mix. Perfect for massage, meditation, or yoga.

Tao Of Peace - 'Tai Chi - Feng Shui - Qi Gong - Yoga - Meditation' (Soundings Of Planet),
By
This review is from: Tao of Peace (Audio CD)
Obviously, this isn't my cup of tea - but I always give credit where credit is due. This Tao Of Peace disc is really good for deep meditation. Personally, I don't even know many folks into that anymore. 'Tai Chi' is where the Eastern culture successfully meets with the West. Couple of these tunes I found myself playing over were "Full Apple Tree", the nine-minute "Stillness At Midnight" and the spell-binding "Grass Reflecting On Pond". Main reason why I even reviewed this particular disc: {honestly} I liked the cover. Have seen other bands pay tribute to this image - like Gong, Acid Mothers Temple, a few others.

"Tao of Peace" takes me back to another place in time, perfect tranquility in unity beyond the taking on of human form. This music is a wonderful gift that adds synergy to Rei-ki. Li Xiangting is a healer.

Just As Good As Tao Of Healing,
This review is from: Tao of Peace (Audio CD)
If you are in the market for some transporting calming Asian style meditation music, you can't go wrong with Tao of Peace or Tao of Healing. I like the style so much I got both. Know that whatever choice you make you are going to be able to achieve a heightened sense of relaxation and clarity with this music. Very classy, and well done.

Ahhh, Peace,
This review is from: Tao of Peace (Audio CD)
This cd is so beautiful, soothing and calming - with an Asian sound. You feel like you are in a zen garden, walking along by the Plum trees in full blossom...it really is so very peaceful. I most definately recommend it for any kind of bodywork ( I use it for reiki, massage, yoga, simple stretching), meditation and just as soft background music) I also have Dean Evenson's other album Tao of Healing which is also more of the same - both cds are fabulous!

If you are a fan of Dean Evenson / Soundings Ensemble, this is along the same lines with an Asian twist.Beautiful music to massage/yoga/bodywork by. If ripping to an Mp3 player, make sure to make this a "continuous" album. I love it!

I bought the first CD locally-the Tao of Healing-and loved it. So I immediately checked to see if there was more of this music available, and thankfully there was! This CD is perfect for helping you to relax after a stress filled day. The music is calm, and soothing. It has a slow flowing pace, and it helps you to let go of tension. The combination of silver flute, and Chinese zither-is perfect. If you want peaceful music-this is the CD for you...
