Mine arrived and appeared to work. I installed it in an E-350 diesel.
The receiver did not work reliably out of the box. I opened it up and found a bad solder joint and fixed it.
I also noticed that the receiver gets quite hot. The simple voltage regulator inside dissipates 1.3W. This will get quite hot and could hurt reliability.
If you can power both the receiver & transmitter only while in reverse there is not likely to be an issue but in my installation I am powering both all the time.

I added a piece of brass to the regulator. The brass sticks out the side about 1" and adds about 1 sq. in. of radiator. It is still warm but should improve longevity.

I did notice that the picture flickers on occasion but it is quite useable.

I bought this camera for one of my work trucks. Had a few too many busted tail lights and bent up license plates, cause nobody wanted to help others back up to trailers. The clear picture on this cam has saved more than twice it's cost in repairs. i recomend a 7" mirror mount monitor for it

The wireless didn't work and the video out would only sync with the monitor every once in a while. The other times the video would be partial or just random lines on the screen. I would not recommend.

I honestly cannot believe that this product would be sold on Amazon! This is more of an "Ebay" buy at your own risk item. The instructions DO NOT explain that not only does the wireless requires its own power but the Camera also requires one. Now there should have been a power cable that should have also been supplied with the unit. NO such luck! Their web site gives you numerous numbers to call, BUT you will never actually get to speak to anyone! Nor will you ever hear from anyone either!! The shipping costs to return this item will cost me more that the item is worth. I'm very disappointed with Amazon and Taotronics for manufacturing this kind of junk.

I hooked it up to my F-150, The camera itself has a decent quality picture with guide lines but Sometimes there seemed to be a lot of interference and the picture would be scrambled, It was still usable if you waited a second for the picture to show up again. but I didn't like it so I took a 25' Video cable and ran it from the camera to my stereo receiver and now I love it because it never scrambles and is great. Bottom line is I'd recommend getting the wired version just because wireless is too unpredictable and can be bad when it comes to wireless video.

I read reviews from people with goose-necks, fifth wheels and son on... Strange it works for them... I have a crew cab Silverado with an 8' foot bed. This transmitter came with the color camera from Tao and it work marginally... The distance it has to transmit is barely 14 feet (length of bed plus length of cab) but the image is very unstable. At times I get crystal clear image, at times it looks like we are back in the 50's with blurry, unstable image. Either the transmitter is weak or the receiver picks up a lot of interference.
I guess if you have a long trailer, it might be an alternative to pulling a hard wire but do not expect miracles....
As for the camera, if it's hard wired, the image is OK. It does display the standard guide lines with green, yellow and red grid. You can adjust the angle up and down so you can set markers on the ground to see how much you can back up before hitting something.
HOWEVER !!!!! The angle of the displayed image is barely 60 degrees. At 2 feet behind my truck, I was not able to see a marker placed where the wheel would ride if I backed up.... So, as long as you are aware that if the image disapears you need to stop ( you only have 2 feet ot less before you hit the obstacle) I guess this would be an acceptable camera.
It does have the infrared LEDs which do provide good night time image. I never found a place with complete darkness and also the mix between the backup lights and the infrared LEDs give the camera enough background light for you to see what' behind the car.
I guess this was designed for small sedans and not for full size pick-ups or trucks. That could be the reason the transmitter does not function to par and why the angle of the displayed image is not suitable for my truck.
The price of the combo is right for what you buy... I will try to upload some videos and images to support my findings...

Was unable to get wireless to work, not as easy as it sounded. Contacted company and got great service. They tried to help me with issue and allowed me to exchange for wired model. Wired one was very simply and works great.

I use this camera as part of the back-up system in my car. The image it produces is quite useful, always in focus (as one would expect from a wide-angle lens). No problems.
