I have been looking for the one book that most clearly outlines ancient Chinese wisdom for a long time. This is the closest I've found. I got it two days ago and using the techniques described in the book to cultivate energy lead me to, last night, having the most creative time of my life.

Do you want to have a higher degree of awareness, energy and focus than you ever thought possible? This book is a good place to start. Read it with your judgmental western mind on the backburner, and just try some of the techniques to feel who you are, then you'll easily discover the power of these teachings.

As a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master, I found this book to far exceed my expectations. This information will take my practice, and also yours, to a whole new level. The imaging for visualization, by it self is worth the price of the book. I have read other books by Mantak and I appreciate him sharing these "secrets" with the world. The information in the book, if you were to learn at a seminar would cost you thousands of dollars. If you are not into ritual, as he suggest, take his information and form your own preparation and routine.

I don't know how he manages to write so many books, but I'm glad he does. This book is probably one of my favourites. As I teach qigong I have used it for myself and passed on the lovely meditations to others. The knowledge is invaluable. Thankyou.

First of all, this is not a book you can just read and say, yeah, that was great! It's a book you have to study and work through. The book is about cultivating, conserving and using chi. Mantak Chia says that chi is not only the foundation of our health but the basis of spiritual development, and having read and worked with others of his books, I heartily agree.

This book is basically a textbook taking you step by step through exercises and explaining the why's and wherefore's of what you have to learn to be able to heal yourself and others. Taoists believe that we store our emotions in our organs and that we must learn to love them, to cleanse them and to balance them. Mantak Chia tells you that you must do the work of mastering conservation, balance and transformation before you increase chi enough to do healing work. Otherwise you may waste the energy you cultivate or inadvertently amplify imbalances or negative energy that you do not know how to control. This is why you have to carefully study and work through this book. Skipping steps could be disastrous.

I hope that didn't sound melodramatic. I didn't mean it to because studying Taoism is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I mean that sincerely. It has brought me more peace and happiness than any philosophy I have ever known. If you are really serious about spiritual growth; if you are on a spiritual path or want to be on one, I urge you to study Taoism as taught by Master Mantak Chia. It's the road to physical, emotional and spiritual evolution.
