5.0 out of 5 stars great product
I purchased this stock system in the desert tan. It looks and feels great and makes the rifle a lot of fun to shoot. I put a red-dot sight system on the gun and it works very well. I built this gun because my AR-15 is so expensive to shoot. The first time I took this out I shot with a friend for over 2 hours and went through 500 rounds of 22 ammo (less than $15). That...

3.0 out of 5 stars Would not buy again
This stock is OK but nothing special, the rail on top makes it hard to use the open sights and the way it screws together makes it seem cheap.
I have always disliked the saw grip(my WASR came with one too)with the storage compartment(ha ha ha)that has a wire clip to hold it shut.

That would have been about 30 rounds of 223 for my AR-15 and about 5 minutes of shooting for the same price. This gun is almost as much fun to shoot as my AR-15 but without the care of how much ammo I am burning through. I was emptying 25 round magazines without constantly thinking about the cost. The Tapco system was easy to install and everything fit together properly. Sometimes aftermarket products don't quite fit together right but with this one everything fit just right. I did it at my coffee table with a few basic tools (screwdrivers and a socket set, you need an Allen head screwdriver bit) and no gunsmithing skills. It took about 20 minutes to do it. The composite plastic is very durable. I can't imagine how you could break it accidentally. The rails also make it possible to mount a number of accessories to it (lasers, tactical lights, etc...). The stock is just like the stock on an AR-15 carbine or the M4. It comes with a straight and an angled post. I would recommend the straight post if you are using optics (scope, red-dot, or holo sight) and the angled post if you are going to use open sights. This kit does not come with a magazine or a scope rail, however the gun comes with a 10 round magazine and a scope rail. I highly recommend geting a 25 round magazine, however you must do some research on these mags. Aftermarket mags are a mixed bag, some are very good and others are complete junk. It sucks to spend $30 to $40 dollars on a magazine and it does nothing but jam and misfeed. A general rule is to look for metal feed lips on the mag instead of plastic, but this is not a guarantee. The metal feed lip mags are more expensive, sometimes double the cost of plastic. Also, I have a Butler Creek mag with plastic lips and it works flawlessly, I have not had 1 misfeed. If you are looking for a low cost assault style rife that is tough and a lot of fun to shoot, you can't go wrong with this great product.

A word of warning, the picture in this add of the guy shooting the gun is the wrong picture. That is not a Ruger 10/22. It looks like a Mini-14. The picture above him of just the gun is the 10/22.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, June 25, 2010

Product is excellent for the price. Material is well made and looks create. removing old stock and placing new stock on took 30 min. Need tools that do not come with kit but I had them (Hex, Phillips Head, and Socket Wrench. Instructions were basic and pictures were useless, but it was pretty easy to figure out yourself. Only thing that got me thinking was attaching the grip handle to the stock. You have to open the bottom of the handle and screw a bolt through the top of the handle and into the bottom of the stock. You can kind of get that out of one of the pictures provided. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone. Especially if you are looking for a cheap alternative to the Archangel get up.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great piece of gear, March 27, 2010

I bought one of these 3-4 years ago. The receiver and barrel fit perfectly, and it is plenty sturdy for a .22 caliber rifle. The 2 different stock extensions are a very good idea. I use the angled one since I am using Tech-sights iron sights, which are fairly low. This would work well with the stock Ruger sights, too.

One thing I would change is the grip. It has a SAW-style grip instead of AR-style, but this is very minor, and not worth losing a star on the rating.

This setup was great for teaching my wife the basics of using a rifle before moving on to an actual AR. I'm 14" taller than she is, so the adjustable stock is a necessity.

It is light, ergonomic, and just a hell of a lot of fun to shoot with. I definitely got my money's worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Converting a 10/22, July 24, 2010

This is a good product. It was easy to put on and I like it very much. I liked the price and the look. It only took a little while to put together. Now I have a completely different look and feel for a simple 10-22; I got the slanted stock so I could use the sites on the rife or a scope I had mounted. Amazon was a great help.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks Amazing, May 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had an old 10/22 that my dad bought me for squirrel hunting. It just sat in the closet for years until I decided to upgrade it. I looked at the ArchAngel conversion stock and this one. I decided on the Tapco basically because of price. Im so happy. Installation took 10 minutes and the gun looks completely brand new. It has two different stock installation positions and its very adjustable. I recommend this one, it rocks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stock, here's what you need to know., December 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This stock is very easy to install, and there is MANY video's on the internet to show you how to install it. I can not go in to much details on how to install it,but it is very easy to do. Its like dressing your gun! :)

I know that you can buy this stock from anywhere to $80-$110 dollars. The price of this was right in the middle.
Before I seen this stock I was looking at a stock that make's my ruger resemble an AR-15. You could buy that from anywhere to $100-$150.
This stock is simlar to the AR-15,the only thing really diffrent about it is. It does not have a side rail!

The only way you could go wrong with this stock is not buying it! I Greatly recommend this to any person with a ruger 10/22!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tapco Intrafuse, July 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a well made stock. I shopped around looking at all possible 1022 stocks out there and this is the only one that I would let myself purchase. For under $100 shipped, you can't go wrong and it instantly makes your gun seem new and gives it more uses and more rails which can equal more accessories on your gun. I managed to put a vertical front grip, bipod, and tactical light, all on the bottum rail.
