This review is from: Tapies: Complete Works Volume II: 1961-1968 (Hardcover)
This will convince anybody that Tapies is one of the major artists of our time.
His work has a primitive masculinity. It is deceptively simple: a line, a couple of doodles build toward a profound, volcanic impact. The book is mammoth, and packed with images. This volume is also painful because of the price tag, and once you view it, you will want to see the others in this series.
