This is from my review of the same program, but with the 6 lb ball:

I have finished P90X, Insanity, and Tapout XT and this workout blows them out of the water! It is quite exhausting, but it really works your whole body. Now, I don't think you're going to get P90X muscle results (IE not going to get huge if that's your goal), but you are going to get much more athletically fit and your stamina will improve greatly! BTW, this workout is not for the fitness beginner! You won't see modifiers (unless they're modifiers to make the move more difficult), and there are a lot of high impact moves (various burpees, tuck jumps, squats, pushups)

Pretty much every workout is exhausting. They are around 55-65 minutes each. Some are longer if you do the 25 min ab routine with them. I'm not docking a star for this. Their goal was to put the hardest workout so far onto DVD, and they succeeded, IMO. I also knew the workout times before hand, so I was expecting this.

The game changer for this round of Tapout XT is the weighted ball. Most of the workouts utilize this baby and it really adds some depth to the program. That combined with the elastic bands that you use make this workout one that REALLY works your whole body. Pretty much all the moves are working upper & lower body components at the same time (ex. squat upper cuts, bear crawl punches, etc). Each video is really tough, but you feel exhausted & great at the end.

If you decide to do these videos, here are the things that will help:
-Be sure you have multiple bands of varying tension. I have a lighter band and a heavy band. I use the lighter band when I have to do things like punches and I use the heavier band when I need to do things like squats or curls.
-Get weighted gloves.

I did the original TapOut XT and really enjoyed the workouts. I decided to try XT 2 because I wanted to add some variety to my workout while continuing with the program. These workouts definitely provide an added level of difficulty but are still fun. The ball and jump rope are a great addition. The nutrition guide is also a helpful supplement if you are looking to drop a few pounds outside of the exercises alone.
