Editorial Reviews

"There is no more powerful tool in the world to actualize change than Tapping. But there are times when the tool isn't enough, when you need the guidance, care, and nurturing of a powerful mentor who can pinpoint exactly where you need to go, what you need to explore, in order to get the fastest results possible. And this is where my friend Margaret Lynch and this amazing book come in."
—Nick Ortner, New York Times-bestselling author of The Tapping Solution

More About the Author

When you grow up in a family of eight kids under a "cozy" middle class roof, you either get with the program or get left behind. Every triumph and tantrum of my brothers and sisters was a lesson in what to do - and what NOT to do.

Maybe that's why when I was a teenager my friends came to me with their problems. I loved the idea of being a psychologist. But even at that age, I saw that reminding my friends of their talents and value to the world wasn't enough to raise their self-esteem. They still kept resisting and beating themselves up. I wondered if becoming a psychologist was the right path for me to truly help others.

When it was time to head to college, I looked to my father for answers. Dad was an engineer, and the black and white ability of engineers to solve problems and get tangible results was appealing.

If I was going to be an engineer, I knew I'd have to totally immerse myself. Along with my brother, I headed to top-tier Worcester Polytechnic Institute to get a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

It was at WPI that I first really learned the importance of being truly SEEN and HEARD. Mostly, because I wasn't. I was one of 3 women in a class of 19 chemical engineering candidates. I appeared confident on the outside but on the inside I was terrified to ask questions. I secretly believed that I had fooled everyone and wasn't really as smart as my peers.

This fear of being a fraud persisted as I entered corporate America in an all male engineering environment. I remember many meetings where the boss said, "someone should record the minutes" and the heads of my male colleagues would all swivel in my direction, assuming that the one woman in the room should act as the secretary.

Over the next 18 years I excelled at various positions Fortune 500 companies, from engineering to management and eventually to sales, winning top sales awards.

But there was always something missing. I wanted to have more meaning in my work and I wanted to make a difference! I just kept coming back to this feeling that I was meant to do something bigger. It became clear that it was time to not only be SEEN and HEARD for my own inner power and talent - it was time to stand out.

It started to slowly dawn on me that over the first thirty years of my life I'd been following a path that had been programmed into me over generations.

I'd been simply doing what I thought I was supposed to do without any awareness or choice.

When I went through a divorce and became a single mom, a fierce instinct to protect my child was sparked. And with this instinct my own amazing power to transform finally started to surface. I began pursuing my passions for the first time and started my own business as a Success coach.

I became certified in the mind body techniques of EFT/Tapping (through Gary Craig) and Hypnotherapy.

This is where I put my inner engineer archetype to work. As an engineer, my job was to synthesize massive amounts of information with the sole focus of applying it for a measurable result. So I devoured thousands of case studies on this powerful mind-body Tapping Technique until I reached expert status.

Two things became clear within the first year. First, seeing my coaching clients dramatically transform, let go of their limitations and move forward was incredible. Having such a profound and personal impact on people changed me forever.

But strangely the other thing I found was that there was still something missing. When I woke each day, I didn't feel the excitement and energy I'd expected I'd feel by leaving Corporate America. It did not feel like the "something big" I was truly called to do. (And I certainly wasn't earning even close to my corporate salary.)

You see, I still wasn't free - I could still only see two options. Make great money but have an unfulfilling life playing by the rules - or make a meaningful impact on others at great financial and personal cost.

There was help for me but I had to put down everything I thought I knew about myself, and my rules for how to live my life. Something big was about to happen. I started dating a visionary, genius man in the Energy Medicine field. Rhys Thomas (now my husband) would challenge me to go deeper, way beyond the Tapping Technique.

It makes me crazy when I think of all the brilliant, heart-centered clients I've met over the years - who like me, had finally begun living their passions but were still stuck in their limited programming, making a limited impact and an equally painful limited income. My engineering brain knew this was a puzzle

I had to solve - and now I had new tools! Rhys introduced me to the worldclass teachings of the chakras and life purpose consciousness work that I integrated into my Tapping Technique. The results were a quantum leap for me!

The first step was to LIBERATE myself from my generational programming.

The next step was to ACTIVATE my inner power and become a true Rockstar on a Mission. I found the energy, the charisma, and the courage to take my work to the stadium level.

In four short years I went from a struggling solo entrepreneur to growing a business worth just under a million dollars. I was able to CREATE a wealthy

life of meaning and impact. And instead of reaching just one person at a time I've been able to help thousands across the world - through my books, videos, newsletter and personal coaching.

They say it's lonely in the spotlight. So get up here and join me! Ignite your power, you Rockstar.

I've been eagerly waiting the release of this book. I did receive an advance copy of Tapping Into Wealth from Penguin and I'm mighty impressed. I want a hard bound copy for my resource library. Margaret Lynch's insights into money and wealth manifestation, our money programming (personal, family, and generational) was eye-opening. The actual tools for shattering my old money programming...and how to step powerfully, alive, vibrant, and worthy into earning my true value has already had an impact on my "bottom line." This book is NOT some airy-fairy "let's attract prosperity" woo-woo book. It's a training manual about getting deep down to your toe-nails on how to get real with your relationship to money.

Here's a breakdown of the 17 chapters in Tapping Into Wealth...as a nice perk, the author gives links at the end of each chapter to a companion video training series to supplement each of the written chapters.

Chapter 1 The Mind/Body Money Connection
How your relationship to money is as tied to the Mind/Body connection as negative emotions and illness. Uncover the real reason the Law of Attraction isn't working for you by starting to understand the money blocks that undermine any positive intentions you are sending out.

Chapter 2 The Basics of Tapping
The science behind it, people you know and respect who use it, how it can reach your subconscious, and how simple (and fun) it is to do yourself!

Chapter 3 The Five Categories of Money
CASH! Let go of euphemisms for money like abundance and prosperity and get at the real shapes money takes on in your life. Uncover the five categories money falls into and start to understand the emotions and programming attached to each that's holding you back.

I can't claim to have read them all, but I've read quite a few. One of the first I read was the great A New Guide to Rational Living by Ellis and Harper over 35 years ago, and few books have been of as much use, since. A few years back I discovered Gary Craig's EFT, an extremely powerful technique which has been enormously helpful.

This book utilizes EFT as the tool for creating change, but that is the backdrop to what makes it such a great book.

The one piece of the puzzle which has been missing for me is a way to inventory the subconscious beliefs which might be blocking desired behaviors. The shotgun approach used by most is useful to a point but seems to depend on my being aware of what my beliefs are. Gary Craig's method deals with this, but for me it wasn't thorough enough. I was able to achieve lasting happiness through it (yes, I said that!), but some of the frustrating repeated negative behaviors went unchanged.

Tapping Into Wealth digs clearly and powerfully into over a dozen categories of subconscious beliefs, many of which I was not aware I had (or existed as a possibility, the real failure of the shotgun approach). Every chapter in the book has been of some use, and many were jaw dropping in their brilliance.

The tapping scripts are well written to cover many kinds of thoughts a particular belief might engender, inspiring me to add my own if they come to mind during or after a session. This by itself isn't revolutionary, as Carol Look's newsletters had many excellent scripts, but again the difference is in identifying the underlying belief.

One funny experience I had was in a middle chapter. Lynch chose to put a goal setting chapter near the middle of the book.

I've been following Margaret Lynch for almost a year. I must have watched every free video and teleseminar Margaret has created, and as soon as the book came out this week, I bought the Kindle version so I could have it asap. Margaret's book should come first before doing any more LOA work. Because if you don't get to those subconscious beliefs and get them up and out of your system (by tapping), you just spin your wheels trying to increase income and wealth. I can see that now after reading her extremely focused and well organized book. It all makes total sense now.

I have already read through the book once, and am going back in and doing the tapping and watching her accompanying videos. (Margaret is very dynamic and funny--a fantastic video presence so well-worth watching her other videos on YouTube after you finish the book.) I've only scratched the surface by tapping on some issues about savings, goal trauma, and financial trauma -- I never heard of goal and financial trauma before Margaret's book!!! WOW is all I can say! I tapped, cried and cleared on a few seriously damaging beliefs already that I didn't even know I had, and I could feel sometimes subtle and sometimes pronounced relief and inner shifts.

For anyone who thinks tapping is weird, well, you know, it can be at first, but keep going, watch videos, start doing it along with Margaret's videos, go along with the scripts in the book, and eventually you will be able to tap without any scripts. I also have seen movie, The Tapping Solution, have Nick Ortner's book, too, (and Carol Look's book) and it's all legit. (Nick Ortner helps parents of the Newtown tragedy work through grief using tapping which is amazing--go to his site, too!! It's The Tapping Solution.
