Book Description

October 31, 2007
Nothing reverberates through Tobacco Road quite like college basketball, and Tar Heel Tip-off 2007–2008 is a perfect companion for University of North Carolina diehards. With 112 pages of commentary, analysis, and statistics—complete with gripping color photographs—it gets fans ready for the upcoming season.

After a promising season that fell short of the lofty goals of the program, Roy Williams has a talented roster that will set the standard in the ACC. Tar Heel Tip-off will bring you up to speed on all the key returnees, with scouting reports and statistical analyses that have never before been published and are exclusive to this book.

The annual also includes essays on a host of topics, ranging from a review of the first four years of the Roy Williams era at UNC to a thorough overview of the ACC competition in 2007 and a look at the value of experience in college basketball today and what that means for the Tar Heels this upcoming season. Tar Heel Tip-off also takes a look at the program’s storied history, with a fortiethanniversary reflection on the 1967–68 Final Four squad and a profile on the great Michael Jordan’s days in Carolina blue.

Analysis, information, stats, pictures, and history—Tar Heel Tip-off is packed with information every Carolina fan craves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Detailed Stats and Analysis, October 23, 2007
This review is from: Tar Heel Tip-off 2007-2008: An Annual Guide to North Carolina Basketball (Paperback)
This preview book has some incredibly detailed statistical analysis of each Tar Heel player, as well as lot of interesting features on commentaries on the current team, Carolina's ACC competition this year, the Carolina fan base, and the history of UNC basketball. This will keep you busy until the season starts and you'll want to hold on to it all year long. MUCH MUCH more detail and intelligence here than in a typical preseason magazine.
