Fascinating Information,
By
This review is from: Tarantulas and Scorpions (Their Care in Captivity) (Paperback)
No single book is the final word in Tarantula information. Admittedly, this book is a few years old and apparently hard to find (I get it from my local library), but it is a great book! The photos are wonderful and the information is presented very well. I found the book fascinating. I own a copy of the Tarantula Keeper's Guide (the "bible" of the topic), but I wouldn't say it is 100% correct, either.I definitely recommend checking in to this book if you'd like some bite size morsels of scientific information. It isn't too heavy a read.

Completely out of date,

This review is from: Tarantulas and Scorpions (Paperback)
The tarantula information in this book is dangerously out of date. Many of the pictures are quite lovely but caring for a tarantula based on the info presented will lead to little more then an ex-tarantula.As of the time of this review The Tarantula Keepers Guide by Schultz and Schultz (ISBN 978-0764138850) is as up to date as it gets in this hobby with a new third edition coming out in late February of 09. |
