Fantasy hero clashes with coffee fiend Seattle girl,

The author has a great time mashing together the classic fantasy adventure, including a cute barbarian hero with a big sword and a battle over a throne, and the snappy repartee of a thriller. Her heroine is coffee-guzzling Seattle astrologer, a nice change from the usual "chosen one" mystic of other urban fantasies, and the magic based on astrology gives this novel an unusual twist. When the astrologer's camping trip goes horribly wrong, she drops into an alternate universe complete with hunks on horses. The book is more romp than romance, but we can only hope this odd couple continues to adventure together. Looking forward to the rest of this fun series making its print appearance (at least one sequel is already out as an e-book!).
