hi this batman toy is great if you have a toy castle or building or something like that. but if you just have your bedroom

I hate to sound redundant, but the other reviewers are right on about this being THE Batman Begins figure to get when it comes to the 5 inch line. This is the Batman you see in the movie, with the solid black suit with no gimmicks and the famous batarang and other gear in a sleek Wayne Enterprises case. This smartly articulated and excellent likeness of Christian Bale as Batman, from the greatest Batman movie ever made, comes with a grappling gun (yes, as usual, it zips far too fast to really have fun with), a very cool folding batarang, and a special optical headset. His accessories fit perfectly into his Wayne Enterprises: Applied Sciences Division case, he wears a gold utility belt, and his cape is made of fabric. Pick this figure up along with the Batmobile, Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul, and Ninja Bruce Wayne to have all you need until a new wave hits the shelves. If you're out there, Mattel, how `bout a Katie Holmes action figure?!!! Gordon or Alfred would be great too, but Katie, mmmm....

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Batman collectable, July 9, 2005
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Target Exclusive Batman Begins Silver Battle Gear Figure (Toy)
Everyone loves Batman toys, and this impressive sculpt of everyone's favourite superhero is one of the best examples of everything that is so fantastic about movie collectables. The standards have been set by Kotobukian and Sideshow Collectables, and Mattel have earned their place by releasing many great toys derived from popular culture for years. Sometimes superhero toys can be somewhat outlandish with the physique, but this is down-to-earth without looking puny. Sculpted with care and refinery, this is outstanding toymaking, showcased in style. The likeness is excactly Christian Bale, and the paint job and fabric are really impressive. I couldn't be happier with this amazing addition to the already immense assortment of Batman toys. This is the difinitive figure for fans and a must-have for collectors looking for a nice addition to their displays. Highly reccomended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Battle Gear in Action, April 3, 2005
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Target Exclusive Batman Begins Silver Battle Gear Figure (Toy)
The one and only Batman You have all been waiting for. The Battle Gear Batman is the action figure with the most collector value because it's movie accurate. There is a black suit, a black cape, and a gold belt. As simple as it seems, it is difficult to find a plain Batman these days with so many variations. Well this is it.

The Baman is about 5 and 3/4 of an inch tall, so it's just bellow the 6 inch line. Diffrent shades of black are used through out the body, but it's not too damaging. The logo, are piece, and the boots are darker, but not very noticable. The belt is plain gold, all around; yes even in the back below the cape. There is as much detail in the back of the toy, under the cape, as there is in the front. There are ten points of articulation on the figure, which all go in well with the toy's accesories.

The accesories included in the toy are well packed in a Wayne Enterprises briefcase. The briefcase is gray with a few details here and there to make it look like a steal briefcase. The briefcase is a bit oversized, but only because inside the briefcase, three diffrent accesories fit perfectly. One of them is a folding batarang; used by Batman to help him out in almost any situation. Another accesorie is a type of heat-seeking helmet. The helmet is also in gold, and Batman's big, pointy ears fit perfectly in this helmet due to the fact that there are openings in the helmet. The helmet goes in smoothly and when it is placed, Batman's right eye is covered with a type of binocular lense. Batman's last accesorie is a bit of a dissapointment, but doesn't ruin the figure as a whole. It is a kind of oversize gun with a string that enables batman to climb buildings easily. But the string isn't very long. The string is under 7 inches and what is more frustating is that the cable winds itself back to the gun. So as soon as you let go of the endside of the gun, the cable will shoot it self back to the gun. It can get frustrating at times if planning to play with it. The gun, just like all the accesories, is in gold as the toy's belt.

Overall, this toy is as near as perfect as it gets. It's great for display or for play with just the toy. Add in the accesories, and it's a giver. A must for you or the little ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best "unaltered" Batman Begins figure...hard to find !, June 19, 2005

I had a difficult time locating this one as I'm sick and tired of all the gimmick Batmans, such as "Electro Batman" or "Fireball Batman" or "Exosuit Batman" or "Keanu Reeves Batman-pull the cord to hear it say WHOA!" The endless list of gimmicks is tiresome.

I picked up this one as he's the only one that seems to be unaffected by the gimmicks, he just has some accessories and a Batman suit that's unaltered by any gimmick that the other ones have. Basically it's the closest one resembled the suit in the Batman Begins movie.

I highly recommend him and give a home, I did, I bought the Batmobile which is awesome in its own right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great figure!, June 13, 2011
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Target Exclusive Batman Begins Silver Battle Gear Figure (Toy)
This Batman action figure is really (and highly!) detailed according to the "Batman Begins" movie, but only to the movie. This is not really styled to the two usual batman costumes from D.C. Comics. Note that the cape is cloth, and that the head shows the pupils and not the white lenses he usually has. As I said before, it's based on the movie, but still a lot of fun and has many points of articulation.
The Accessories: The suitcase has "Wayne Enterprises" (not something Batman would be carrying around, huh?)painted on it, and, unfortunately, it can be a little hard to place in the figure's hand. It can also holds a folding batarang, grappler gun, and slip-on night-vision goggles. The grappler gun has a wound-up string inside it so when you pull the hook, it will snap back into the gun once you let go.
All in all, this is a must-have for any Batman fan that likes to explore different styles.

5.0 out of 5 stars The non-gimick Batman!, September 4, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Target Exclusive Batman Begins Silver Battle Gear Figure (Toy)
This Batman is so much better than any other one that has like lava hands or whatever. This one has no weird crap on him like a christmas suit with red and green all over him, or anything as stupid and freaky like that. This one only had his batarang, the grapple gun and the Wayne Enterprises briefcase to go along with it. And theres no weird colors on him either. Its just a plain normal black batman.( also if I were you I wouldn't be on the England Amazon, i'd be on the american one, its less expensive)
