This review is from: Target Joy: A Search for Truth (Paperback)
Target Joy grabbed me and drew me in emotionally with the first few paragraphs of the prologue. No wonder Obermeyer went searching for Truth! Who wouldn't after such a series of shocking experiences? The wisdom and insights into the human mind that he shares are right on. I learned a lot about myself as a result of his in depth dialogues, including how to have a sense of humor about my spiritual growth. I highly recommend this book to everyone searching for truth, especially to those who encounter struggles in their spiritual growth. And if you've ever lost a loved one, the prologue alone will knock your socks off and make you want to read Target Joy cover to cover ASAP. This is a winner and I can't wait for Volume 2.

I was drawn into this book from the Prologue. This book is for anyone who wants to journey back Home and Remember Who They Really Are. Our lives are a journey back to God and along the way we get lost. We feel an empty place within ourselves that we cannot fill and there is pain and confusion and longing and then we pick up a book like Target Joy and the journey begins. As you read this book you will hear the whisper: Remember, remember. And when you finish, you will never want to forget.

Target Joy, Not Fear, March 19, 2002

This review is from: Target Joy: A Search for Truth (Paperback)
In the first few pages of the book, I was sitting on a launch pad, with the author, waiting to be rocketed into the rest of our lives. After a shocking lift-off, we came to realize that we were also piloting this craft called life. I was glad to be on this dreamlike adventure. Although, things and places looked and felt familiar, I was traveling in circles. With the help of "Obie", our happy guide, the fog began to clear and our path seemed less rocky. The decisions we make, based in love or fear, are the only guidance systems we have to navigate the currents and eddies of beliefs and emotions that swirl in our flightpath. If you are one of those people who are afraid to roll down the window and ask for directions, this book can help you find your way.
