I've gone through 2 iPod mini cases now, this is my third-- by far this is the best yet. The hard outer shell, is great - I tend to drop my iPod and this case protects it very well. The nicest thing is the way it's made so that the charging cord and car adapter can be used while the case is on. The other cases I've had did not have this capacity. I also like how it clips - it is not a tension clip it is a slide clip -- so you don't have to worry about the spring holding the tension breaking (what happened to my last case) and the clip will also not just get knocked off of your pocket. The slide feature of the case is a bit stiff. Overall a great case.

If you are looking for an iPod mini cover/holster that is both handsome and functional, you should seriously consider the Targus AEB01US. This product consists of two semi-rigid halves. One half firmly grips the back and sides of the mini while the other half acts as a holster for the first. The holster half of the Targus has a very sturdy belt clip which remains firmly in place and tight against your belt or purse/briefcase pocket (not like the flimsy detachable clips that you see on a lot of holsters). The sales information typically shows the product in what I will refer to as "full cover" mode (iPod screen facing in and covered). The holster is designed so that you can slide the mini (still surrounded by the back halve of the product) out of the holster top, flip the mini around, and reinsert it back into the holster with the screen facing out. The cover and holster are designed with a slight lip in the top and bottom halves that prevent the mini from slipping out. The product does have one minor drawback; while you can use your iPod Dock Connector cable when the mini is in the back cover and/or holster, you will not be able to plug the mini into your Apple iPod mini dock with the cover on (a minor issue when considering the protection the device provides your iPod). I have used this cover/holster at the gym, while mowing the lawn and while hiking, with no problems whatsoever. A well built product by a great company.
