i just bought a desktop and wanted to get a wireless keyboard to go along with it. every keyboard i looked at from microsoft or any other company seemed to have the same complaints...range. i briefly toyed with going back to a wired keyboard, then i found this one. i wasn't expecting much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. the keyboard is very comfortable (kind of has the feel of a laptop when you type). i didn't have any of the problems one of the other reviewers reported with certain buttons not being responsive at all. my main concern as to range was definitely answered and then some. the keyboard and mouse only require 2 AAA batteries each so it's not expensive to keep it powered. the mouse is definitely not the greatest but is good enough for everyday use (outside of gaming...i tried out the combo playing crysis). one little bonus i found was that the keyboard and mouse worked with my mac book pro without any issues or need to install any drivers (i was curious).

overall i found this product very much worth the money. the mouse leaves something to be desired, but the keyboard is solid, and for the money i don't know that you'll find anything better.

This item works just about as I expected. I have experience with other Targus products, and have been totally impressed with them. This one is not much different.
The keyboard does drop a letter every now & then, but I am using it about 15 ft. away from the receiver and the receiver is plugged into the far side of the computer. I suspect that if I were closer or if I had a USB port on the front, this would not be an issue at all.
The mouse works well and the feel of the keyboard is even better than I expected.
I am using it with a Mac Mini, so even though it does not specifically say that it is compatible, I can tell you that it is, with the usual limitations of a Windows keyboard used on a Mac.

The mouse is simple, a little to simple for my liking; the driver for the mouse is very restrictive to what you can bind the 4th and 5th key to. I'm a gamer myself and find it stupid that i cant just bind the 4th and 5th key to a 4th and 5th key, instead you have to pick a function that is completely useless like left scroll or right scroll. The keyboard has a bunch of cool hotkeys on the sides that are very convenient. Thats the only good thing about the keyboard though. The Backspace, enter, shift , ctrl and spacebar keys work horrible. You have to hit the key right in the middle or they wont work. This is fraustrating when your trying to type quick and have to focus where you hit the key. The product was cheap but not worth it.
