I decided to buy this after I destroyed my LCD screen on my netbook. Don't wait for that to happen before you invest. I sat my netbook on soft surface and went to bed. I didn't realize the factory settings were such that the netbook would not hibernate.

When I woke up in the morning I had all kinds of horizontal lines across the screen that never did go away. Luckily it was under warranty so I sent it in and got it fixed. While it was in for repairs I ordered this set. I was really after the cool board but the mouse and USB multiplexer were a bonus.

The fans in the board obviously run your battery down faster when you're not plugged in but there are options. I frequently use it just so I have a hard surface to set my netbook on. I'll set it on the bed on the floor, wherever and not worry about it over heating. If I'm doing something that's going to take a long time I'll plug in the netbook power and run the fans for extra cooling.

The cost is well worth the peace of mind and convenience of always having a hard surface to set the netbook on!

I recently purchased an HD Mini Netbook and was wanting an optical mouse to use with it. I didn't necessarily need the cooling pad and the usb hub, but the price was great, so I decided to order. Everything works great and I am loving the slim design of the mouse. The cooling pad really does keep the motor cooler and the usb hub is nice to keep all of my extra things plugged into; I just have one thing to connect instead of four. I am very happy with this purchase.

Saw it locally at a well known office supply outlet and had to have it...I should have waited and purchased it at Amazon....way better deal and price...

Pros: *It does exactly as it say's, cools my little netbook. *Serves as a stable surface when I'm not using my portable laptop table.

Cons: *If they had an additional input on the opposite side of where the plug meets the unit it would have been more convenient and universal. Because the fans are placed to one side and the vents on my netbook are opposite it, I've turned the unit so the fans are directly under it. Now the connecting plug faces me and in front.

The fans on the cooling pad just don't generate enough airflow to sufficiently cool my 10.2 inch HP netbook. Almost, but not quite. Its super quiet, and the size is perfect for any netbook. Unfortunately I need fans that are slightly more powerful, since my internal fan acts up all the time. I'm going to have to search for a different cool mat. It's somewhat disappointing, but I've decided to give this mat to a friend of mine who doesn't have any fan issues with her netbook. I don't have any real complaints as the price for this kit is amazing! I really love the retractable tiny mouse and the usb hub will come in handy. So yes definitely buy this, as long as you have no preexisting cooling problems.

I purchased these items for my 10" netbook and couldn't be more satisfied. The cooler is a perfect fit under my netbook, it's thin and fits right along in the netbook case I have. The cooler is quiet yet powerful, in that I never have a hot laptop anymore. The cooler runs continuously as long as the power to the computer is on, even when it's in sleep mode. When you shut down your laptop, the cooler then shuts down too. Begins running again upon starting up your laptop, provided the cooler is plugged into the computer. The usb adapter is wonderful, as it gives you 4 slots to plug in other devices. So small and portable, and works great. The mouse works fine, and sure is cute, however I still prefer a full size mouse as the mini mouse is so tiny. May not be comfortable for anyone with larger hands.

Gave this to my father after he treated himself to a netbook. He really likes the cooling pad and the mouse. The usb he doesn't have as much use for, but would be handy for someone with a need. It is well-priced and high quality. You really can't go wrong.
