Ths is a terrific bag for an 11" to 13" notebook. It's well-built, it has a number of storage areas, and it can clip to the handle of a rolling bag.

Althought the photos make it appear that the bag is made of vinyl or some other form of faux leather, it is NOT -- this is a woven fabric bag.

The photographs also make it appear the the inner pockets of the front compartment can easily hold such things as external hard drives or external DVD drives -- but they cannot. I have the smallest external DVD drive on the market and it will not fit into the internal pocket -- but it will fit easily into the compartment.

The bag is light-weight and well-balanced, but don't expect it to hold more than the computer, its accessories (power brick, etc.), and a couple of file folders, documents, or magazines. This is a computer bag, not a briefcase.

I recently bought a 13" MacBook Air to cut down on weight when I travel. I searched long and hard for a briefcase that would offer protection, low weight, a good appearance, and enough space for cords, iPhone, and folders. The Targus fits the bill perfectly.

I purchased this notebook bag to replace one that was issued by my company. It's a good, solid unit and is indeed quite light in weight. There are plenty of pockets an compartments that make it a flexible choice for a small bag.

I do have one caveat: The picture seems to be showing a smooth, leather or vinyl-like bag. The actual product is ballistic nylon, which is a GOOD thing, but you should know what to expect. I would also suggest making sure your laptop is the right size for this bag; mine is a very tight fit.

I bought this for my husband as an occasional travel case for his laptop and accessories. He also has a Tumi for everyday use, which was very expensive, quite roomy and built like a tank. However, it weighs a ton and is simply too big and heavy to take on non-work trips. This Targus case fits his Lenovo U350 perfectly, along with the charger, a wireless mouse, cell chargers, pens, paper, etc., with some room to spare for a magazine. It is nice and lightweight but doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. Unlike the photo shows, it is made of ballistic-type nylon. The laptop section has good padding and the leather handle is comfortable, too. Is it built like the $300+ Tumi? No, but for the price, it's a good value. I would buy it again.

So far, I have been very pleased with this product. I ordered it as a gift after going through various other messenger bags with the gift recipient, and he found it to meet his expectations upon delivery. Although he has not tested it out yet, we believe that it will be able to hold all of his supplies and laptop with room to spare, and protect his laptop from travel damages. The product description and pictures are accurate, so if it seems like the bag you want, then it most likely is.

I found this case, while created with great attention to detail, too small to hold all things I want to take with my Dell XPS 1330. By the time I got the external drive, CDs and power equipment in there was little room for a PDA and iPod. But it was built well and had lots of nice features. It might work well for a netbook.

I've had this item for a few months now and have been dissatisfied with since day one. The pockets are smaller than what is shown in the pictures. They show it being able to hold a small external hard drive and CD in the pockets nether of which is true for the 13" case, it may be for the larger cases... The padding is a hard rubber block at the bottom of the laptop compartment which serves no purpose other that scuffing your laptop, since the laptop just sides off to the side of the padding and sits directly on the case fabric. I dropped my case off a chair last night (about 2ft high) and now have a cracked laptop screen and perfect impression of the case fabric in the plastic of my laptop, Thanks Targus... The strap has no grip to it and is continuously falling off my shoulder, also thanks to the metal zipper tabs it sounds like I'm wearing bells when I walk. I have an older Targus case I use for a larger laptop that has survived 3 laptops that all died of natural causes, and doesn't have any of these issues. I guess it was too much to expect a company to keep up with quality.

I am traveling a lot and using this case on regular basis this is perfect.

Bought this to fit my Dell Latitude 13 laptop. I did have to take out the protective inserts to get it in. It is fairly light but yet still feels solid.
