This case offers just the right amount of padding without being too bulky.
I feel a lot better when I carry it around in this case than when it is exposed.

The thing I feared most about my new iPad 3G just happened. It slipped from a ledge and fell four feet to a linoleum floor. It hit hard with a sickening thud. At the time, the iPad was inside of my Targus Crave Slipcase along with my iPhone 3GS.

I feared the worst. But when I took the iPad 3G and iPhone 3GS out of the Targus Crave Slipcase, there was not a scratch and not a dent on either device. Both worked perfectly as if nothing had occurred. The Targus Crave Slipcase's padding had done the job.

Although I do not intend to make a habit out of such careless treatment for such treasured devices, it's good to know that Targus designed such protection into their cases. Frankly, I can think of no better product recommendation.

This case for the IPad is very well constructed and the handle makes it convenient to carry around. I would have given it five stars but would like for it to have been 1/2 inch taller. I have my IPad in an Incipio case for protection around the house and fitting it in the Targus Crave is very tight with the zipper difficult to close- but it can be done. Without any case the fit is great but I prefer to leave my Incipio sleeve on for added protection.

Love the colors, very vibrant green inside. Zippers are solid and the entire bag feels of excellent quality. As title says my Asus TF fits in no problem both with and without the keyboard dock. The only time it was a tad snug was when I had a neoprene sleeve on the TF before I put it in the bag, zipping was a bit of a squeeze that time. Really excited about this bag when the bad weather hits, not having to worry about rain or snow on my electronics is exciting

*adendum: after using this product for weeks now, awesome. Fits the TF, keyboard dock, mini HDMI cable, wireless mouse, cell phone, pens and pogo stylus, all with no prob. Best all in one bag without being bulky and it looks great. Have not needed to carry charger but I assume it would fit also.

In the world of computer carrying cases/backpacks, the offerings range from the simple (one padded slot) to the overly complex (35 compartments/subcompartments, straps, zippers and velcro) where you could lose an accessory for months before re-finding it. Targus has carved out a very happy medium and added water resistant fabric and made it very comfortable to carry to boot. There are 2 main zippered compartments, a large rear one which can accommodate up to 16 inch laptops, and a segmented compartment which includes a mesh section, 4 sizes of simple pockets, and a padded pocket for say a mouse. On both sides at the bottom their is small zippered compartment, and there is a zippered compartment the size of a paperback book on the back. So, if you are looking for a backpack to carry a computer, ipod, ipad, a few accessories and provide protection against life's insults, this is for you.

It's the lightest and most comfortable backpack I've ever had. There is a sufficient number of pockets/compartments for different things. I wish there were different colors available (e.g. grey), but black is good enough to go with everything. This is my second purchase of the same exact bag because my nephew fell in love with it too so I gave my first one to him and purchased another one for myself.

I have a lot of tote bags, a rolling computer bag, and a briefcase. I wanted a small, reasonably priced, snug fitting carrying bag for my new iPad 2 that would hold it with its Apple Smart Cover and its power supply and not much else. I also wanted a sleeve-type bag for everyday use at home to give the back of the iPad protection from scratches. I ordered this bag, the Speck Apple iPad PixelShield in red (also available in black) for $3 (marked down from $39-see my review), and the Amazon Basics netbook bag with handle for 7-10" devices. That bag was $11.20 when I bought it but today it is $15.12.

I've decided to keep the Targus bag despite the fact that it costs twice as much as the Amazon bag. These are my reasons. The Amazon bag is a little too big for the iPad 2, even with the cover on. Now that may be great for those who have a larger permanent case on their iPad 2. But I felt it was a little bit lost in that case. It is well made, and the zippers are easy to use. There is an external pocket for the power supply and/or a few small things. The interior is orange. The carrying handles do not store away.

The Targus bag is a bit dressier looking. The quilted padded exterior is water resistant (which I believe the neoprene Amazon bag is as well). But it fits the iPad 2 with the Smart Cover on perfectly-neither too tight nor too loose. The carrying handles are optional and stow away into their own little pockets that snap shut. It is nicely padded. There is an exterior zipper pocket that will hold the power supply, a headset or headphones and perhaps a small tablet and pen or a pack of gum or lipstick. I think I will be very happy with it but the Amazon Basics bag is a very nice bag as well. And compared to the price of other bags, they both are very reasonably priced.

I will be returning the Amazon Basic Bag but it might be just what you are looking for. I hope this review helps you decide.

Looked for the perfect case for a long time. Saw this and all the great reviews, and decided to try it. It IS perfect. Not only does it look nice, but everything fits perfectly in it. I have been able to fit the charger, cord, a portable stand, and a headphone splitter in the front pocket alone! The iPad pocket has a soft interior and is well- padded. This case is also thin and light enough for easy travel / storage. Love, love, love it!

My daughter is not into leather cases, and there are a lot of them offered to protect iPads, so we went looking for something nice that would protect her iPad when it was not in use. This Targus case works perfectly for her. A number of pockets on the outside for keeping the earphones and charger in when traveling, good padding on the inside to protect it from damage. Some of the cases on the market have a nasty chemical smell to them, and she didn't want that at all for her iPad, and this Targus doesn't have that issue

Great small bag for the IPad. Everything fits and is compact. Serves well for protecting our investment (lots of cushioning). I would recommend it for a quick & easy to carry bag.
