I'm actually pleased at how much gear I can put into this bag. (see pictures)

I love the fact that I can put my SLR here with plenty of room for lens and other accessories. It is a nice compact option to a backpack when I don't need to pack as much gear.

The padding is such that I feel all my gear is well protected.

The stitching, zippers, etc are all well constructed and appear very durable. The dividers are easy to move around to customize to the lens's I want to carry.

The one draw back is that I do use bulky neoprene neck straps. It takes a bit to tuck the neck strap into place but that is a fairly minor adjustment.

This is a very comparable bag to other sling bags I have seen costing much more.

I am pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it for those considering a Sling Bag.

11/28/2010 UPDATE

I have had this bag for almost 6 months now.

It is holding up well no problems with zipper, straps, or any other part of the bag.

I use this primarily for my Canon 40D though have placed my 7D with a battery grip. Typically either a Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical Lens for Canon SLR Cameras is on the 40D and a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Camerasis on the 7D

I have started placing my Metz flash in the top compartment of this pack. along with a

I bought this bag from Costco before going on vacation . It came with a nice tripod and a UV lens protector. I bought this bag for its sling design. I planned on taking a lot of pictures and wanted the ease of access to my camera at any moment. While this bag is spaciously designed to hold my camera body, two lenses, a flash, manuals, usb cables, video cables, and lens filters, it could not sustain the weight and tore from the lower end of the strap to expose its contents (namely my 400$ lens.)
I am really disappointed with Targus keeping in mind that they have always made good laptop cases. I am seeking replacement. Hopefully they do not disappoint me with their customer service. Will update soon.

Suggestion: Go with the APE sling bag. After just over 60$ they are really a nice value and will keep your expensive investment safe!

After much debate i decided to give this bag a try. I was a bit scared becuase of the low price (i paid $29 here on amazon), but having a tight budget i just couldnt resist. I looked at the Lowepro sling bag with the same design as this bag, but it goes for almost triple the price. In the end i let price win, and i'm very happy to report that i won too!

This bag has performed admirably. I carry around my dslr, my kit lens, prime lens, and speedlight, and i still have room to spare! The bag is well built and very durable so far. All the zippers and straps and clasps work well and show no sigh of loosening or weakening. The bag holds its shape well when being tossed around, and keeps my stuff safe and secure. My only complaint is my small dslr (Nikon D3100) will slide around a bit inside the bag, even with the longer kit lens on. I've found laying an old hand towel in the bag next to the camera keeps it in place very nicely. It's not a big deal at all, and common to all grades of sling design bags.

Now don't go thinking this bag has the same attention to detail and quality as a Lowepro or other higher end bag. It's a basic bag, but a well built and highly functional basic bag. For the price you cant go wrong, hence my 5 star rating. If you're on a budget and want a good sling bag, definitely give this a try. For the price you can't go wrong.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas so we could use on a Disney trip. Loaded it up with only her small amount of camera stuff, didn't over fill or make it too heavy and yet it did not last the week in disney. The return date expired while on the trip so now we are stuck with a camera bag with a ripping sling where it attaches. Great bag, lots of room, comfortable, but didn't even last 6 days in Disney. First use too.

I bought this bag from costco and it was a great deal. After a few uses the zipper started opening in the middle of the bag. When you have over $1000.00 worth of equipment in the bag it is a little scarry to think that you could have it on your back and the zipper could split open and your camera could fall out- at that point it becomes a VERY BAD DEAL! I called Targus and it is not actually made by them, but rather a company called Targus digital, which is actually Merkury innovations. There customer service consist of the the receptionist who answers the phone. They offer to have you mail the bag to them at YOUR EXPENSE, then someone will look it over and determine if they feel it is defective. At that point they may or not replace it and if they do it may or may not be the same bag. I think I will just return it to costco and buy something of better quality. Bummer because I really liked the bag.
