I hesitated to get this case as the Targus website lists it as a case for the iPad 1. But it fits my iPad 2 and Smart cover very well. Snug enough to feel comfortable.
I put my iPad into bags, backpacks and baskets. I wanted a firm case that would both give support and hide the iPad. This serves my purpose very well. Looks like it will be sturdy for travel. (I do not use a case at home.)

I was looking for a nice, protective sleeve for my iPad, and this one won out. I looked all across the Midwest for a nice cover for my expensive iPad. Now, this cover is not designed to be used as a stand for the iPad, it is a cover only for all intents and purposes. But it is a gorgeous leather cover that is fully lined with suede leather. It is fashionable, durable, and portable. I use it as a slip case for my briefcase or as a separate holder by itself. I intend to buy another when I give my first generation iPad to my grandson next year. This product is worth the price. So I gladly give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I was concerned this wouldn't fit the iPad 3 with s smart cover, but it does! And this is nice, sturdy and durable. I'd highly recommend it - especially for the price.
