The Targus Handcam Springboard camera module transforms your Handspring Visor handheld into a digital camera in an instant. The Handcam comes out of the box with a very robust feature set. This includes 2 MB onboard memory, video capture, and Webcam capability. Just plug the Handcam into the Springboard slot of your Handspring Visor and you're ready to shoot.

When not connected to your handheld, you can simply plug the Handcam into its USB dock, and it's ready to use as a streaming Webcam. As a bonus, the Handcam also comes with an ArcSoft graphics bundle. Versatility in use, a variety of image resolution choices, and portability make the Targus Handcam a must-have for any Visor user.

The Targus Handcam Springboard module is compatible with Handspring Visor, Visor Deluxe, Visor Prism, Visor Platinum, Visor Edge, Visor Pro, and Visor Neo handhelds. Desktop software is compatible with Windows 98, 2000, and Me; it is not Mac compatible.

For the price, this is a fairly good digital camera. It also has the ability to be a mini-movie maker.

One hint, be sure you DON'T plug the USB cable into your computer until AFTER you install the software!

Good pictures...easy to use. Hard to sync. I had to get a patch from Targus via e-mail inorder to hotsync my photos into my desktop. The sad news is that Targus no longer makes the hamcam. It is discontinued and there is no more mention of it on the Targus web site.

The HandCam is not one of them. The camera felt cheap when I first got it, then when I rotated the lens, it clicked at one point as if it were broken. I shot some still photos & they were ok & transferred properly but when I shot a small 15 sec video & tried to transfer it to my desk, I got a message on my palm that "Video was not supported" !!!!!!! I contacted Targus & was told that they could not repair or replace the item as it was discontinued but I could have any other items from their current catalog. I told them that I wanted a camera only, that's why I bought a camera. I have yet to solve this problem but I wouldn't buy another one. Stick with the Eyemodule2. It works flawlessly. I'm sorry I got rid of mine : ( Anyone want to trade????? ; )
