This has been a great little laptop sleeve. It offers a good amount of padding and goes through security regularly without having to take the laptop out. The only small downside is that you may have to take the whole sleeve out of a backpack to get the laptop out since the zipper is on the long side, but this wouldn't be necessary with a tote. Personally when I'm out I end up setting the laptop on the case while I'm using it for some reason. I have a Sony Vaio vpccw 14 inch btw and it fits well.
