4.0 out of 5 stars alright.... but still searching, March 9, 2006
This review is from: Targus TLB001 15.4 Ladies Notebook Backpack (Personal Computers)
I am a notbook bag freak. I must have about 6 bought in the last 2 years and I am still searching for the ultimate notebook bag. I thought this would be it. I travel quite a bit and I need a bag that will carry my notebook and accesssories without breaking my shoulders. This backpack is alright. Functional too. I like the front pocket where you can dump knick-knacks. My one main problem is that there is very little room for the bulky acessories such as the cord and mouse (i have to use a mouse even with a laptop). By the time you add all of these...... the shoulder is hurting real bad. The search continues.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not enough pockets, September 20, 2005

The backpack fits very comfortablly on sholders even when heavy and does look stylish, but it doesn't have convenient pockets for the little things that women like to carry. It also not big enough for bigger textbooks, if you already have your laptop in it. Otherwize it is a tough bag that can bear a load.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great deal for the price!, March 8, 2007

Compact and light with a clean look. Perfect for travelling professionals (who cares more about travelling light than showing off heavy luxury leather bags). The backpack shoulder straps are reasonably padded, wide and sturdy. For me, this is huge. Most of the "slim" or "light" backpack that I've looked at have flimsy shoulder straps.

I own a Dell Precision M65, one of those "huge and heavy workstation" laptop (approx 14.5x10.5x1.5) and it fits perfectly in this bag. If you have a smaller laptop you might be able to throw the power cord and mouse in the main compartment, with the laptop itself. For me, these have to go in the front half pocket which make it look a little less "slim" but tolerable. Overall, the look and functionalities of this bag make it a great deal for the price.

and I still use it. I bought it while in grad school and used it everyday during the first two years after I bought it. It is a little worn on the bottom, but i like the fact that it has a sleek look and isn't bulky and covered in external pockets like a backpack. I travel with it all the time, and the zippers, seams, straps are in tact still w/o any problems after three years. I never thought I would still be using it after all this time, but it was definitely a good investment for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect compact size, October 5, 2005

When looking at backpacks for my laptop I found that nearly all the ones on the market are much too big. I'm not traveling or going hiking with my laptop, I just need to carry it to and from work. For all the "other little things that women carry" I carry a purse so that I don't have to take my entire backpack just to go across the street for a cup of coffee.

This backpack is perfect for my needs--it's small, light, and fits my laptop and accessories with no wasted space. It also looks so much more elegant and professional than the sport-style backpacks.
