This is the best laptop case or tote I have ever owned. I bought my first one 4 years ago and it has traveled everywhere with me. I bought it because it has a special padded section for the computer and slips in vertically with the zipper on top -- giving easy access to pull it out and put send it throught the airport scanners. Flat cases are cumbersome and you have to have enough space to go through the layout and unzip process while not dropping your coat, purse, other bag, etc. The Targus TLT008 (TLT007 is black) is easy to handle through the airport screening process, and I don't tear off a fingernail everytime I'm hurrying to get through the process like I did with the traditional laptop cases.

As mentioned above, I have had my Targus laptop tote for several years, it stood up to brutal traveling, and looked almost brand new after all that time. The leather was still polished, and it only showed slight wear at the bottom corners. The only reason I bought a new one was because I broke teeth on the zipper. It was less expensive and easier to simply buy a new one than to try to have the zipper replaced. If I hadn't been able to buy another one, I would have paid to have the zipper replaced. The new one is even better, because Targus altered the handle design to include metal connectors allowing the handles to fold flat against the tote. The handles on the earlier model were stiff and stood up, making it difficult to to tuck the tote under the airplane seat ahead of you without the handles popping out into the aisle or in the seating space. That problem is now solved.

My sister liked my original tote so much, that I bought her an identical one shortly after I purchased my first one. Hers is still going strong.

Great product. I wish everything I bought was so attractive and durable.

I have a Dell Studio 15, and it does not fit in this tote...unless I place it in sideways. I am thinking about cutting out the padded divider as did another reviewer, or else I will have to return it.

The pruduct is great, very nice, with style and good material. But in an era of widescreen laptops you would think that if the bag is NOT for widescreen, it would at least mention it. It was a present to my wife and her computer is 15", but widescreen ! so it did not fit! I had to cut the holder inside the bag to make it fit and that is not the idea.
