TARGUS BAG FOR 13IN MACBOOK,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Targus TSM043US Radius Vertical Messenger (Personal Computers)
The quality of this bag is excellent and I bought this while on sale for 24.99$. I like the design where you put the accessories like mouse, power supply, and even your iPod. What I don't like is once you put your Macbook 13" inside, you should be very careful closing the zipper because it will hit the corner of your laptop and scratch it. The bag is so exact and no allowance for the Macbook 13". Targus should put 1/2" allowance on the top and put small piece of nylon along with the zipper side to protect the laptop from zipper scratch.

I have an aluminum MacBook, and I looked around for a while before deciding on this bag. I've had it for a about a month, and so far its quality seems to be outstanding. I love that it places the laptop lengthwise-down, as compared to other bags I've owned, making it less intrusive while I'm going place to place. It offers a decent amount of protection with built-in foam padding. The strap seems sturdy, with thick clips that hook to the bag. The non-slip shoulder pad is sewn, so it won't move around on the strap. The only negative(if you see it that way) is that it doesn't offer alot of space for other items. It does have pockets for items such as iPods, mice, and power, but its seems impractical to use them (at least at the same time). My Apple power supply takes up most of the space, with some room left over for my video adapters and miscellaneous stuff. However, this isn't a weakness to me, because that's what I wanted. I found myself hauling a lot of unnecessary junk in my bigger bag, and I grew to hate bringing my computer places. With the new bag,I bring my computer everywhere...taking advantage of the Mac's form-factor (the whole reason you'd get the 13" in the first place). I highly recommend this bag.

A little case for queen Ipad,

This review is from: Targus TSM043US Radius Vertical Messenger (Personal Computers)
So my Ipad was complaining to me the other day that she didn't like chilling in a normal backpack because the rest of my junk would pick on her. So being the nice gentleman I bought her her own space and now she is happy as can be (Note: may not work the same for all women). This little Targus bag is PERFECT for the ipad, and is even a great man purse...err European Carry All.Specs: One large back pocket is lined with love to protect your belongings, although instead of love they have some fancy words on the label that is something along the lines of "nasa approved space age super aero padded pouch". No matter what you want to call it, it works, it doesn't scratch my ipad in the least, and there is a tad extra room for some paperwork. The zippers for the main pocket can be padlocked together for the paranoid types as well. Front pocket is designed specific for I-products (mouse, powerblock, etc) but the stretchy holders also work for cell phones, wallets, keys, and other things that are not Steve Jobs related. This pocket also has a neat little hole for headphones so that you can look like you are picking up alien signals with your bag. Zippers are heavy duty, every seam is double stitched, and the fabric looks like it could last through nuclear war. Arm strap has strong hardware, so for those of you like me who constantly break the clasps, no need to worry, you could easily use your bag to wail on muggers, attacking robots, etc.. without having to figure out warranty information. Bag is water resistant (so says the label), I haven't tested this but I plan on drowning my Ipad when I get bored and will keep you informed. There are a few extra pockets here and there, nothing fancy, one in back for papers, one under the hood to store an extra pair of boxers, and one on the outside lid for quick skittles access. Final thoughts: Strong and durable, small and efficient, I love it, you will love it...but you can't have it buy your own.

THE BEST BAG FOR A MACBOOK!!!!,

I Looked at a lot of bags before I chose this one. This bag is great it has pockets to fit all your macbook accessories. The bag is very neat and slim looking not large at all like most of the laptop bags. The fabric is water-resistant and the inside compartment is lined with nyflex so your macbook won't get scratched. Amazon has the best prices most of the time and there service was great!! I would recommend this product to anyone who owns a macbook. Get it while it's on sale at Amazon for $49.99. Thanks Amazon for charging no tax or shipping for this item!!

Great Bag For My Macbooks...,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Targus TSM043US Radius Vertical Messenger (Personal Computers)
I own both a MacBook Air and aluminum MacBook (13") and this bag protects works for both units (used singularly, of course). It offers great protection due to the strategically placed padding in all the right places. The vertical design adds a slimming effect and the netted/mesh compartments are perfect for a mouse, iPod, cleaning cloths, power cables, etc.The Targus design team really put thought into the form and function -- the slim lines are neat and professional; the material is high quality, and it wears well on the shoulder and it also has an attached handle for easy transport by hand. The bag is black and deep olive green colored which makes it a bit masculine for my tastes -- I've had to add "flair" in a veiled attempt to feminize it. As another reviewer noted; it doesn't offer much room for much else (although my Kindle fit nicely, but the NYT bestseller was a bit too thick). So it satisfies its function to carry and protect smaller laptops, netbooks, and their accessories, but not much more.

Best case I've ever owned,

I'm a laptop case snob and I'll spend hours, sometimes days, shopping for exactly the right back for each new laptop I buy (about one per year, sometimes more). This is the nicest case I've ever owned, at any price. It's not excessively large as so many cases are; this fits the computer dimensions perfectly. The compartment is thicker than it needs to be for my MacBook Air, but I understand it also fits the regular MacBook. The difference isn't big.Having a place for every accessory is just what I was looking for. I don't put my iPhone in my computer case, but the iPod pocket is the perfect fit for my portable backup hard drive. Similarly I don't carry the remote with me, but that pocket fits my EV-DO cellular data card perfectly. If there's one thing I'd change, it's the lack of a business card slot or pocket. This isn't a big deal, I have business card cases. The shoulder strap is just phenomenal. Very well padded, non-slip, rugged and comfortable. The attaching hardware is high class all the way; heavy dark-metal clips and rings that work smoothly and look great. All of the zippers have solid metal pulls that are easy to find and hold on to. The zippers are smooth-running. Finally, the style is very nice. It's one of the few cases that blends good, understated style without being too feminine or showy. It's not your generic black bag, but not over-done either.

Well-designed bag with a specific purpose,
By
This review is from: Targus TSM043US Radius Vertical Messenger (Personal Computers)
This bag, as others have stated, is specifically designed for the MacBook. I appreciate the product-specific pockets for the MacBook power adapter, iPod, and Mighty Mouse. However, the durable Targus locking-clip closure is the one feature that stands out, and makes this bag worth an extra $20 over the STM Small Alley cases and their velcro pads.

Worth the Price,

This is my first laptop case, and it's great! The laptop fits securely in the bag, and there is plenty of room for the accessories. I especially like that there are separate compartments for each accessory. The style of the bag is professional, clean and comfortable to carry. Although I wish there was more room to hold papers or a notebook, and my first thought was that it was rather expensive, it's well worth it. I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone who is looking for a bag with a snug fit to the laptop and doesn't have a lot of excess compartments. Overall, great product!

Great bag for 13" Macbook Pro or Air,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Targus TSM043US Radius Vertical Messenger (Personal Computers)
I use this bag primarily with one of the new Macbook Airs and think it is the best bag I have had. It is certainly limited in what it can carry but I have gravitated to smaller and lighter over the years (hence the Air) and it is just about perfect. With the Air, I can include a notebook or similar size objects in the main section with the laptop. With a Macbook Pro that is not the case, its pretty snug on its own. I really like the dedicated spots for charger, mouse, etc. which keep things well organized (not generally a forte for me). In addition, there is a thin magazine size pocket on the back so with the Air I seldom have a problem carrying everything I need. My only problem is that I am prone to overpacking it a bit for trips which creates a "bulging" profile with everything jammed in, counter to the real intent of the bag...
