5.0 out of 5 stars I love this keypad!
I have not had any of the problems described by other reviewers. I highly recommend this product!

I will agree that the receiver that plugs into the USB port is a little on the fat side, and makes it a little difficult to use my second USB port, although not impossible.

I would actually recommend against this item. The range on the keypad either sucks or the item itself is faulty. I can have the keypad in my lap and my laptop less than a foot away and the keypad will skip numbers when I'm trying to calculate or type in a string of numbers. It also seems to independantly turn off the number lock key. Save your money.

I will agree that the receiver that plugs into the USB port is a little on the fat side, and makes it a little difficult to use my second USB port, although not impossible.

I'm not sure why people were sitting 3 feet away from their computer using their keypad - I usually have it on my desk next to my laptop, or I sit back in my chair with the keypad in my hand.

The only time I had problems with it picking up what I was typing was when the battery was low. I changed the battery and the problem was solved!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, March 3, 2006

This product works very well and is easy to use. The only draw back I have noticed is that my coworker has the same keypad and we cannot both use them at the same time. If we both have the receivers plugged in, whatever I type shows up on both screens.

3.0 out of 5 stars Functional but not Poor Design, January 18, 2008

It works as advertised. The idea of wireless is attractive. One less cable to get tangled. But the transmitter size is very large and blocks access to neighboring slots in USB hub. Sometimes response to key presses are a little slow. The transmitter is a bit tight to pull out of the storage space in the back. So I had to use extra force to get it out and I dropped it on the floor. Next thing I know, the transmitter stopped working which means the keypad stopped working.

3.0 out of 5 stars Be wary of receiver dimensions, December 24, 2007

I just got this product of the box and have noticed it comes with a distinct disadvantage. The USB receiver is both wide and fat, to such an extent a second USB devise cannot be plugged in next to it. I've tested it on both side-by-side and top-bottom USB ports. This is rather frustrating, particularly when my ports are in short supply.

This product does come with a USB extender, which is sized to more standard dimensions and will fit more comfortably with other devises in the ports. Still, I'm disappointed that I need to use and handle wires in order to have this wireless devise perform optimally.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the Low Costs, June 8, 2009
This review is from: Targus Wireless Stow-N-Go Keypad AKP01US (Personal Computers)
This is a great product. I insert a lot of numbers for my job and my lap top line of number just was not working. I am a fast typist but the numbers at the top are not my specialty. I needed something to help me and I found this product. It works perfect. The only thing that I would like improved is the size of the usb connection. It is big and bulky, and once you plug it in you can not fit anything into the usb next to it. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs this type of device. But you may also want to look into a device that allows you to insert multiple usb products too.
Buy the product you will definitely like it.

We are very happy with the wireless stow n go keypad. Keypad is very comparable to an actual computer keyboard keypad.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, poor execution for my needs, February 9, 2007
This review is from: Targus Wireless Stow-N-Go Keypad AKP01US (Personal Computers)
The concept is good, I love wireless devices as I hate pulling out the tangle of cords in the laptop case. So I was surprised to see the USB extension cable included. My laptop has over&under USB ports, meaning one on top of the other. This USB receiver is too fat to be able to also use my wireless mouse, and it has no additional ports on the body of the keypad to assist here. I don't really want to have to use another cable for a wireless device, and I don't want to have to purchase a USB hub with wires. To boot, the backspace key was sticking. I will return this item.

5.0 out of 5 stars great number pad., February 26, 2012

I bought this with a little trepidation because some reviewers complained about the range of the device. I have used this keypad all week and it has worked flawlessly. I've had it up to 6 feet from the usb receiver and haven't had a problem. I highly recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!! I love it!!, February 22, 2012
This review is from: Targus Wireless Stow-N-Go Keypad AKP01US (Personal Computers)
It works great!! I love it!! I also want to note that my operating system is Windows 7. So it does run on Windows 7. It never showed me that it was installing something. I just tried it out after I plugged it in to Word and it worked just fine!
