5.0 out of 5 stars Helps you develop a relationship with each card July 12, 2010
Format:Paperback
A refreshing change from other tarot books I've tried! I really feel myself building a relationship with each card. Tarot 101 is structured to be a self-study course with exercises for each chapter. These exercises teach you to use your own personal frame of reference to interpret cards and tell stories. The exercises are creative, introspective and fun, and I find myself looking forward to working through each chapter. It's not just about memorizing what each card symbolizes (although Huggens provides the traditional card meanings); I also feel like I'm on a spiritual/creative journey. The book is intuitively organized with cards organized by theme instead of suit, which helps the information stick. Easy to follow and full of information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aboslutely great January 10, 2011
Format:Paperback
I have been interested in Tarot for a while now. I recently purchased the Shadowscape set of cards from this site. The book that comes with it is great, but I needed a little more. This book is just what I needed. I have trouble just memorizing card meanings, this takes it a step further and explains the theory behind the meanings.... making it a very valuable learning aid.

5.0 out of 5 stars For those that want to know more than the basics July 12, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Tarot 101 is not your everyday nor normal book on the Tarot. This full home study program leads one into a truly personal approach to the Tarot. Students are able to really make firm understanding on how they feel and relate to all of the Tarot cards. I'm slowly going throught this book and I've found the information extremely helpful in terms of getting me out-side of my box in terms of simple run-of-the-mill tarot card interpretation. Thanks.
