Book Description

December 12, 2005
There is a system and a tradition behind why the cards the images they do as well as the names & numbers. For the past 200 years, the Hermetic Qabalah has provided a framework for Tarot and has given each card a rich set of attributions which can be used in readings if they are known. Tarot of Color is an attribution deck that can be used on its own, as flashcard to learn the esoteric system, or as a supplement to any deck of tarot cards. Interesting astrological and color relationships can be seen clearly with this deck. For Instance color can be a bridge between a Tarot Reading and your daily life. Look at the cards from a color perspective. If Red becomes a major issue, consider if there is too much or not enough. If you have too little red, showing as fatigue, low energy, you may want to add it to your wardrobe, diet or environment. If you think there is too much red, you might consider adding the complement (green).

The correspondences provided depth that was unexpected. There are many connections that could turn the reading in a new direction. --Ceal, December 2005

5.0 out of 5 stars Occult Tarot, December 18, 2005

This review is from: Tarot of Color (Cards)
I have always been attracted to Tarot decks that use a significant amount of esoteric symbolism. "Tarot of Color" follows the attributes of the Golden Dawn, making use of associations with color, Qabalah, numerology, the Tree of Life, the Elements, astrology and more. This deck ranks with what I consider to be the best of the occult decks, including Lon Milo DuQuette's "Tarot of Ceremonial Magic" and the Free Mason based "Square & Compasses Tarot", by W. Bro P.C.Browne PZ.

The "Tarot of Color" goes one step farther, in that there are no illustrations on the cards, only glyphs for the Elemental and Astrological attributions, text, and the color coding of the cards. (The 3" X 5" cards are color coded using the Golden Dawn system of color associations.)

While not a deck for beginners, the "Tarot of Color" can be used for readings, for meditation, in ritual and ceremonial work, as flash cards for teaching purposes, and combined with one or more decks in a comparative reading. In fact, the "Tarot of Color" works in a very unique manner in comparative readings, in that it does not necessarily give new information on its own, but acts as a catalyst for intuitive flashes into the other decks being used.

I am just beginning to work with this deck, but am looking forward to using it over the next year in conjunction with a series of teleclasses that address the esoteric nature of Tarot.
