Book Description

October 1987
The groups of cards determined by your birth date and name describe the theme of your life--the challenges and the gifts. Add to these "Tarot Constellations" the cards determined by the year and the day's date and you have powerful processes that allow you to flow with your life's purpose and successfully meet your challenges. Mary Greer's first book, Tarot for Your Self: A Workbook for Personal Transformation, is an introduction to Tarot as a path to personal evolution and self-awareness.

In this, her second book, Ms Greer explores the Constellations of Tarot, developing information and experiences leading to self-realization and personal harmony.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seek this book out, October 25, 2002
In "Tarot for Yourself" Ms. Greer's first book in this series there is an exercise relating to creating a personality profile. "Tarot Constellations" takes this simple exercise of connecting astrology and numerology to the tarot and expands it to a full length book. Many ideas expanded in this method would suffer and the book would begin to feel like so much fluff, not so with "Tarot Constellations."

The constellations the title refers to the relationships between the major and minor arcane. Their interconnectedness is expounded on and related in a manner that is both insightful and easy to internalize. Ms. Greer provides some of the most in-depth personality interpretation I have found. Her system tends to go into more detail than many texts on psychology.

The book is sadly out of print but it is well worth your time and effort to track down a copy for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars A More Dynamic Understanding of the Tarot, October 25, 1997
This review is from: Tarot Constellations: Patterns of Personal Destiny (Paperback)
_Tarot_Constellations_ is an invaluable tool for anyone wishing to develop a deeper understanding of the tarot. Rather than rely on rote memorization, the exercises and theories presented by Ms. Greer help devlop a remarkable insight into the relationships between the Tarot and the self. By interacting with the cards themselves, one creates dynamic interpretations of each card and patterns of cards, that evolve with the individual.

This engaging, interactive text opens new avenues to examining relationships between the cards themselves, and to how these patterns play out in our everyday lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tarot Constellations, November 2, 2010
This review is from: Tarot Constellations: Patterns of Personal Destiny (Paperback)
This book by Mary K. Greer is part of trilogy for learning and experiencing Tarot Reading. Mary K. Greer has a wonderful way of breaking down the method into nice bite sized pieces to make it easier to understand her ground-breaking methods for understanding the Tarot. I highly recommend this book as it details her very unique way of interpreting the cards and their relationships to each other. This is something your average "tarot instruction" book fails to do. This is not a "recipe" book or a blindly "memorize the author's meanings" type of book. She teaches you how to develop a personal definition and relationship with the cards. I have only been studying tarot for a couple of years, and I am so grateful to have found her work (and not wasted a lot of time and money on other books), and learned to enjoy and really connect with the Tarot. I highly recommend the trilogy to new and experienced Tarot Readers. These books are so unique everyone will learn from them.
