About the Author

P. Scott Hollander had studied and used the Tarot for more than 20 years. Over the years, she did numerous readings, both face to face and at long distance. She had also used the cards for counseling and some magical operations and had taught their use as meditation tools. (She felt that she has reached the level of The Star in her own studies.) A professional freelance writer, she wrote and published books, articles, and short stories for more than 25 years.

El significado dado a cada carta del tarot en este libro es muy acertado y hasta sorprendente muchas veces. Lo unico que no me gusta es el orden de las cartas (todas las espadas juntas, los bastos, copas, etc.) Las prefiero por numeros (todas las aces juntas, los dos, tres, etc). Pienso que es mas facil para el principiante. Es una buena compra para pasar el tiempo entretenido.

Leyendo las primeras cinco paginas de la primera edicion vi ejemplos de palabras mal escritas o incluso ausentes. La autora ofrece buenos consejos aunque presenta teorias sobre la historia de las cartas algo pasadas de moda. A un lector le aconsejaria esperara una edicion actualizada y corregida mientras leyera algo mas confiable. Tambien no se porque se incluye una direccion a la que mandar correspondencia a la autora si el parrafo anterior afirma que ha fallecido. Es este tambien un manual de espiritismo o para eso hay que comprar otro libro?

Reading the first five pages of the first edition I found various instances of spelling errors or missing words. The author offers good advice although her theories about the history of the cards are a bit outdated. I would recommend a reader wait for an updated and corrected edition while reading something more reliable. Also I don't understand why the book includes an address to which one can send correspondence to the author when the preceding paragraph affirms that she is deceased. Is this also a manual for communicating with the departed, or must one buy another book for that?
