Wonderful!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Tarot Reader (Paperback)
This book is of a truly different style and is a joy to read. She presents the meanings of the cards in a way that feels extremely down to earth and personal, almost as if she were right there with you. After reading this book my readings improved significantly.

Nancy Shavick Rules,

This review is from: The Tarot Reader (Paperback)
Nancy Shavick has an excellent, spiritually oriented interpretation. Her insight and relentlessly positive, enlightened/enlightening approach is awesome. By using her books I have become quite an intuitive tarot reader. I continue to use her books as references when I do layouts, because she offers so many different facets for each card. I use this book along with "The Tarot" when I do readings, because I always get some more nuance by considering the many different points she makes. Those are the only two tarot books I will ever need. Also, another reviewer mentioned her casual handwriting font -- it's not a font, it's her actual writing! I wondered about it, so I compared certain letters to other incidences of the same letter and they're all different, it's not a font.

I re-ordered this book because I used my old one so many times, it fell apart. It is a very good book for those who want a lot of information about each card that many Tarot books don't give. I use it WITH one or two other books to give the person I'm reading for as much information as possible. I recommend this book for people who already know at least some information about reading Tarot cards; I wouldn't suggest it for a beginner because much of the descriptions are lengthy and may not apply to a particular person. I absolutly love the book.

Small but mighty!,

This review is from: The Tarot Reader (Paperback)
This is great Tarot interpretation handbook. Many Tarot books just describe the card's artwork. However I found Nancy's book had real juice to it and she focusses on the energy and meaning for the reader in the selection of the card. The quaint casual font used gives the book a homey quality. Wonderfully insightful, magically profound and inspiring text.

Easy to understand!,
This review is from: The Tarot Reader (Paperback)
This small book is great! I like it better than her "The Tarot" although that is great too. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in the Tarot. Although it is small, there is a lot of info here and it is modern in its interpretation - she makes it easy to understand in terms of relationships, etc.
