Scotch® Cellulose Tape was invented in 1930 by Richard Drew, a 3M scientist. Later renamed Cellophane Tape, the tape was originally designed to be an attractive, moisture-proof way for grocers and bakers to seal cellophane wrap. When it comes to packaging tape, one size doesn't fit all. Sometimes you only need to seal small boxes and envelopes. Other times, you want tape that can withstand years of storage. That's why Scotch® Packaging Tapes come in a variety of options to meet various shipping, moving, and storage needs.

What can i really say? It sticks well? Its tape its what it does, but lets be honest some tapes out there just dont hold cardboard together too well, this one does it well. Will keep using it in the future.

We needed these tapes for moving and they seemed cheaper here than at U-Haul. TO say I'm disappointed with this tape would be an understatement. All our boxes kept popping open even though we had secured them with 2-3 layers of this tape. It just doesn't stick to cardboard or paper (or anything else for that matter). Waste of money.

Horrible,
This review is from: Tartan Box Sealing Tape, 1.88 x 54.6 Yards, Tan (3710T) (Office Product)
I have a business requiring me to ship at least 160 packages a week, sometimes more. I bought this tape in a bind one day when I ran out, had to get to the post office, and lowes did not have the tape I normally buy. This is the WORST TAPE I have ever used !!!! It doesn't stick to the boxes and when it does, it bunches horribly and therefore requires like, 6 more lines of tape to layer each piece of tape for it to stay without peeling or popping off by itself. It get's stuck every time I pull it from the dispenser, either to the dispenser itself, ripping it apart before I've been able to pull it up, or to itself, bunching into a ball... it's just awful awful tape and I'm surprised Scotch would put their name on something so horrible. I'll never buy it again.
