When I received this item, I put it in the dishwasher to clean it before using it. When it came out, it had some rust on it. I was expecting a higher quality stainless steel than that, so I was disappointed. It's only in a small area and the scraper is fine otherwise.

I use this scraper for my own teeth, and a separate for the dogs' teeth. Cheap and effective.

Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this to clean the tarter off my dog's teeth and it works great. It was tough to get a good scrape at the back teeth but peeled the tarter right off the front ones.

Maybe I just can't figure out how to use it, but I can't get this thing to remove anything. My set of picks works so much better. Not recommended for do-it-yourself tartar removal.
