Beautiful comic panels from the incredible graphic artist who created the Prince Valiant series. He is the draftsman that so many comic artists looked to for realism, depth, movement and detail in their work. His grasp of human anatomy is so evident in the Tarzan strip, as Tarzan is usually doing something very physical and only in a loin-cloth. These panels were published in the newspaper in the 1930s. The series began in 1931, lasting until 1937. Foster felt restrained illustrating some else's story, and longing to have more creative control, created Prince Valiant. I recommend this book for comic fans, but more especially for aspiring artists.
