4.0 out of 5 stars Solid binocular for its size and price
Bought this for Alaska trip lately, and carried it to Alaska for wildlife viewing.
Pros:
- Small and lightweight
- Convenient carrying case, can be attached to your belt
- Fully clear optical - no discernible distortion even at the edge
- Very powerful at 12x

Cons:
- Dual focus adjustment. This is supposed to be a feature...

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for. Tasco 12 x 25 folding portables.
Well, I received these as a promotional gift. They sell for 14.00. What do you get? You get a view that gives you a little magnification and very little light. If you have nothing else, they make the view from the 27th floor of my office overlooking the West Side of Manhattan and the Hudson a little more interesting. Buy something else with your own money.

Cons:
- Dual focus adjustment. This is supposed to be a feature as for some people, their left and right eyes have different near sightedness. But to me it is annoying as I now have two adjustments to make instead of one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price!, January 11, 2011
This review is from: Tasco Essentials 12x25 Binocular (Black) (Electronics)
I received these binoculars for Christmas in thew camo variant, which I like.
Good:
Magnification is great for sporting events, watching birds or other wildlife, looking at the moon, or anything else you want to do with binoculars. The binoculars themselves are very rugged and have a rubber coating which protects them from falls. They also come with a nice case to protect the lenses when not in use. You really cant beat these for the price!
bad:
They're not that powerful, but good all around magnification. The right lens adjustment takes a little time to get perfect, but only needs to be done once, and after that they're really sharp.
Summary:
Great binoculars for the price, rugged and durable, clear image, will not disappoint!
