Good Ergonomics, Slightl Marred,
By The only problem with these is that there is separate focusing for each ocular and the focussing mechanism is slow. At sea, this isn't much of a problem, but it's annoying at closer distances like those encountered in the woods on land. --Lynn Hoffman, author of THE NEW SHORT COURSE IN WINENew Short Course in Wine,The and the bang BANG: A Novelabout a woman with a frighteningly good sense of direction.

Of course, we wanted Steiner Commanders for our boat, but what you want and what you can afford are rarely the same!
So we settled on these and have found them to be high quality considering the low price. Great for people who need binoculars for inshore cruising, but are not hardcore sailors. These are not stabilized, either, which adds hundreds of dollars to the cost anyway.

I am happy with my new Tasco binoculars but the left eye rubber eyepeice has broken off the first time I used them.
I must find repairer in Australia now. (sigh) |
