good binoculars for the cost, December 22, 2005

These binoculars are great for keeping in the glove compartment. Next time you go to the beach or a sporting event, they will be available and handy. 6-power is great for dual-duty use as opera glasses and use as field glasses at a football game.
When you compare the Tasco binoculars to others, say Nikon or Minolta, they lack just a bit in brightness and sharpness of focus on the far edges. If you use binoculars every day, I can see spending three hundred dollars on Nikons, but if you don't, then around thirty bucks makes much more sense. Nikon and Minolta rate five-stars. The Tasco rates four because they lack the superior opitcs of the high-end brands but the price makes them nice.
I've been using Tasco since I was 7 years old. They always perform, and while inexpensive, they are durable and good for the money.

"Weighs only 5 ounces"...but yet the shipping weight is listed as 31 pounds.
Huh ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I haven't bought it, but that doesn't make any sense.
