This is an awesome scope for the money. I mounted her on my Remington 700 SPS SS and it's a beauty. I would recommend this scope for anyone that is trying to get the best bang for their buck. I mounted with Leupold dual dovetail rings and the two piece dovetail mounts. I've put about 100 rounds through the gun and the scope hasn't moved a millimeter. The scope was accurate out of the box and a simple bore sight and a couple of rounds and she's pinpoint at 200 yards. There is a little blur after 18x but thats to be expected with a smaller objective and only a 1in tube. I really like this scope and am glad I got it. The adjustments are easy to make with the big knobs. Good scope all around.

Very good scope at a great price I have Three, and a few friends have bought them also. Mine are on a coustom Ruger 10/22, another on a 22-250 modle 700, and one on a marlin 270. Its nice to see the bullet holes without needing a spoting scope.

Hard to beat the world class and varmit series for the price and warranty (though I have not had to use the warranty on any of the 3 I own). Mounted on a Ruger 10/22 with a fluted barrel. Zeroed quickly in less than 10 shots. Clarity excellent and eye relief good. I shoot bullseye competition pistol matches and I am an avid hunter. I have recently bought another to put on my brothers rifle and sighted it in with 2 shots. Tested the zero with a third. It's a great all around scope for the price. I would not hesitate to buy another.

A LOT OF BANG FOR THE BUCK!,
This review is from: Tasco Target/Varmint 6-24x42mm Rifle Scope Mil Dot Reticle (Sports)
Great scope for the price. Holds zero reasonably well. The higher magnifications seem to lose some clarity but not drastically. I use this scope on a mumber of quality .22 caliber rifles...the old eyes ain't what they used to be...and sub-MOA groups at 90+ yards are the norm after finding the ammo a particular rifle likes. I also have one on a .243 caliber rifle and it is great. Would I mount one on a .416 Rigby...probably not.
Buy this scope...set it up properly (another subject)...and you'll be happy you didn't have to spend a whole bunch of money to put a smile on your face. Hope this helps.

mounted this one on my ar15 for varmint hunting. shot about 100 rounds with it so far and it has held its zero so far. just a note to prospective buyers, do not buy the medium profile rings for this scope if you have a quad rail on your ar15 because they do not lift this scope high enough to fit properly. any size higher will do just fine though. cant wait to take it to the prairie to shoot some varmints!

I have had many Tasco scopes in the past but generally 4X or 3X9 and found them adequate for my use. I purchased the 6-24x42 scope to mount on my 204 Remington for Coyote hunting. When I attempted to zero the rifle I was very disappointed in my purchase. The scope is clear up to about 10 power but anything over that the clarity seriously degrades. At 300 yards on 24 power an 8 inch target is so cloudy you can barely see ring lines. Granted the bullet is very small but you should be able to see bullet hole on a Birchwood Shoot N C target at 300 yards. Sadly you can't even at 24 power. This is a cheep scope and not worth the price in my opinion. I'll pay a little more for a Bushnell any day.

This is an amazing scope. Exactly how it is discribed above. I have it on a Remington 700 sps and the zoom in is great. I was hitting targets at about 250 to 300 yards, which for me is a big inprovement. I would highly recommend this scope.

I got this scope and mounted it on a Remington Model 700 30-06, it sighted in quickly and easily and now its right on the money at 100 yards, haven't had a chance to try any shots further than that but from what I have seen it will preform beautifully for anything you need it for and the 24x zoom is very hand for zooming right up on what ever you want to shoot.

I bought this scope from optics planet for a few bucks more than here at Amazon, oh well. I bought it to mount on my Remington 700 SPS Tactical right after I got the rifle. If you only have $100 to spend go ahead and get this scope, but you will be MUCH better off saving for a bit longer and getting a Millet 4-16x TRS-1 for about $300. I have the MIllett and side by side comparison really showed me why people pay so much for good optics. When looking through both scopes at sunset I was able to see very well into the shadows of the low oak trees with the MIllett but only vague outlines with the Tasco. Also, the brightness of the tasco was inferior and the scope becomes foggy after taking the zoom up past 10x. Like the title says, the Tasco will get you by if you are tight on cash, but if you already are able to shoot, save up a bit longer and get something like the MIllett or even better.

I have this mounted on a Springfield Armory M1A and it is lightweight. Just like everyone else says, loses some clarity past 20x, but for the money, this is a good value and is more than adequate for the 250 yds I'm shootng at. The adjustable objective lense feature is accurate and can be used as a range finder with practice and knowledge of your rifle.
