I purchased the scope to take to the firing range but decided to try it out on the scenery and was really impressed. Even though it was a cloudy and somewhat misty day I was able to see feature more than 1000 meters away with good clarity at the 60X60 setting while holding the scope. Great buy.

Reading the negative reviews, I was hesitant, but once I took it out into the field, I found that the issues that people had with it, were in all actuality something that I could learn to live with. All in all, this is a pretty decent spotting scope for the money. Obviously, at 20x the field of view is great. When I zoom up at 40x, it is fairly reduced, and at 60x the field of view is very small. It really ticked me off!! But here's the rub... if you place your eye right up on the viewer, it is just fine. In half light, right before dusk, I had no problems sighting a 12" target @ 100 yards. that is why I bought the spotting scope in the first place. I hope that it holds up, as it is very light weight, and feels a bit cheap, but the body is polymer/rubber. It's supposed to be light. All in all, not too bad. Not too great, but for less than $100, it's okay.

Just viewed our first Eagle - beautiful. The scope brought it right in. Well worth it, the included tripod is invaluable.
