Fun, But Not Thrilling,

This review is from: Tasha's Tea Party: A Lift-the-Flap Board Book (Backyardigans) (Board book)
"Tasha's Tea Party" is a board-book version of the "Backyardigans" episode "High Tea." In this story, the Backyardigans are on a quest to make the perfect cup of tea. They'll need the perfect tea leaves, a teapot and the perfect hot water.
I've never though that "Backyardigans" stories work as well in books as they do on TV. The show relies heavily on music and strong visuals, plus great humor, little of which comes across well in the books. The books are decent summarizations of what's on TV, some better than others. This one has flaps to lift, which make it kind of fun. Still, I'd say pass on this and you or your kids can just enjoy the TV version. Then again, if your kids would get entertainment out this, then go for it. But there are other books that do this better.

My daughter loves Backyardigans, so this was a great book to go along with her tea set for Christmas.

Besides the flaps being kind of difficult to open, it's just kind of a boring book. My preschooler seems to enjoy it though.
