About the Author

Diane E. Watson, PhD, MBA, BScOT, has been involved in clinical practice, teaching, and research in occupational therapy in Canada and the United States for 20 years. She is currently assistant director of the Institute of Health Services and Policy Research in Vancouver.

Sylvia A. Wilson, MSc, OT, has been involved in clinical practice, teaching, medical-legal private practice, and community development in occupational therapy in Canada and the United States for 30 years. She has been qualified as an expert witness by the Court of the Queen's Bench, Alberta, in her role in cost of future care. She is currently centre coordinator for the Centre for Health Promotion Studies at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
