I absolutely love this movie and hope it comes back into production. We used to rent it all the time when I was a kid, but I haven't seen it in 10 years and have been looking for it ever since. If you can find it, I highly recommend it for kids and adults of all ages. Absolutely hilarious.

Everything in this video is top quality. The plot is clever, the drawing is superb, and the dialog is highly entertaining. The characterization is imaginative and delightful. It's one of those stories that appeals both to children and to intelligent adults.

I've been searching for a copy of this cartoon for about three years now and still have not been able to find a copy. I would love to be able to share it with other cartoon buffs but alas,I'm unable to. My favorite scene is in the cave when the "ghosts" are playing tennis. I don't know, it just cracked me up. Actually the whole thing cracked me up. My life will not be complete until I own a copy.

Our galic heroes are given twelve herculean tasks. Their successful complession will free them from roman threat. Failure means capitulation to Ceasar.The tasks and how Obelix and asterix approach them with their unique charm and guile will fascinate both adults and non adults.

This is one of those movies that I saw when I was a REALLY little kid - probably taped it off disney or something - and watched so many hundreds of times that I literally wore through the tape. I haven't seen it in years, and I only remember select parts of it, but I desperately want to have it again - just thinking about it makes me laugh!!

Asterix in definatly one of the funniest cartoons ever made. It's a comdey that will not only appeal to kids but to adults as well. Asterix and Obelix set out to prove they are gods to Ceaser. If they pass all 12 tasks Rome will be under their control. If they fail they will be slaves. They then leave on an adventure filled with laughter, comedy, madness, and total mayhem. This video is a must see for Asterix fans and non-Asterix fans. It's a pity that video stores don't carry this anymore. They really should. If you ever see it for sale (which is hard to do now)you should buy it. This is a hilerious film that dosen't dissapoint.

When I first viewed this video, I was very young, and it was so funny that it left an impression on me that I will never forget. It combined aspects of the modern world, with those of old times. It is an enjoyable movie and hilarious especially in the way the authors comine the times like the old guy on the mountain, washing his towels with laundry detergent!!!

Out of the twelve tasks that Ceasar has given Asterix (and Obelix) to complete, the one where they had to go to a temple and overcome the hypnotist was the best part. "repeat after me... you are a wild boar" and to that Asterix replies, "YOU are a wild boar". You'd be surprised at the turn of events!!!

The other tasks are funny too. Where strength was needed, Obelix took care of that, and where cunning and craftiness was needed, Asterix was doing it. Although in one task, Obelix's strength did not prove to be useful. They were supposed to defeat a particular fighter. Asterix really fooled him into a twist!

Well, I could go on and on about each task, but that would spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet. The most I can tell you, is to watch it. It's really good. If anyone reading this knows how to get hold of an English copy of the original comic version (not story book format), let me know. I'd like to get the whole comic collection. Thanks for reading.
