From Booklist

The English city of Bath is the setting for Goodhind’s funny, engaging Honey Driver series. Hotelier Honey is also an avid amateur sleuth and part-time consultant to the police on behalf of the Bath Hotels Association (after all, crime and murder can be very damaging to the tourist trade). Honey’s latest challenge is solving the murder of one of Bath’s premier chefs. But when a second chef dies in bizarre circumstances, and Honey’s hated rival dies in a suspicious car crash, she suspects she may be in over her head. And, of course, this being a cozy, there are other issues: Honey has had a major argument with her daughter; her mother is smitten with a beefy butcher; and Honey is desperate to move her romance with copper Steve Doherty from square one to square two (or three…). Honey’s earnest, charming quirkiness, her sometimes ribald humor, the zingy ripostes that pepper the dialogue, and the detailed descriptions of one of England’s loveliest cities will appeal to ardent Anglophiles and British-cozy fans alike. --Emily Melton --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

From AudioFile

After winning (by cheating) the "best chef" competition in Bath, England, the chef is found dead. Honey Driver, the Hotels Association police liaison, works with DI Steve Doherty to solve the murder. When two more deaths follow, they have their work cut out to find the motive that connects the three. The dialogue is snappy and funny in this light mystery, especially between Holly and Steve, who are soon attracted to each other. Patience Tomlinson doesn't quite carry off the novel's humor, but even more disappointing is her inability to accurately voice different accents. Her weakest points are her American accent and her mispronunciation of the city of La Jolla. Her Italian accents do not fare much better in this less-than-sterling narration. More About the Author

Honey Driver is a hotelier in the lovely city of Bath who (reluctantly) lands the job of Crime Liaison Officer. She also collects antique underwear, has a senior citizen mother who dresses as though she's just stepped off the catwalk, and a daughter who is actually more capable of being a hotelier than she is.
There's a lot of me in Honey Driver. I really did own a hotel in Bath and was a member of Bath Hotels and Restaurants Association. I make no bones about it, some of the occurrences in the Honey Driver Mysteries really did happen. Even Mary Jane, the professor of the paranormal from California, really did exist.
This series of books wasn't the first I ever wrote. I also write women's sage/romance fiction as Jeannie Johnson. In Germany, writing the Honey Driver mysteries, I'm a best seller as Jean G Goodhind.
I'm published in hard copy as well as ebooks and audio.
