I received the original cookbook as a gift and decided to try some of the recipes that were among these sample recipes. I especially liked the Honeybunch Chicken Salad, a lightly sweet take on chicken salad. When I made the guacamole for a game night, it was hit and I didn't have any to take home at the end of the night.

One of my favorites of all time was the chicken soup. I never make soup because it seems so daunting, but this recipe was a breeze. Try making the dumplings just by themselves. They become a creamy "stew" that my roommate could not stop eating.

I definitely recommend this selection and the original cookbook. I can't wait to try some more recipes this weekend for Christmas.
